I'm still getting beat by the ai in skirmish. Normal is too easy and the next difficulty is too hard but it's a lot of fun.
Apart from that I spent time fixing my Miyoo Flip handheld. The hinge had broken but now it works better then before. Even this v2 version is poorly designed but superglue and a little bodge sorted it.
Achievements were an interesting idea but ultimately they are meaningless. Especially now that they are everywhere... Like big whoop I got an achievement on the Google Games app, GOG Galaxy and Steam...
As for console commands it would be nice but most gamers don't know that they are doing and would probably ruin it for themselves somehow. Breaking saves files or getting stuck in a crash loop.
Halo comes to mind straight away. The way the enemies react, dodging out the way or charging towards you was something special. Also the music score and freedom it gives you in the semi-open levels to play differently.
I agree that "authentic" isn't really the word for this. They seem fixated on the term when it's really just non-traditional media/marketing but even that is nothing new nowadays.
Played a bit of Tom Clancy's The Division, slowly clearing the side missions and leveling up. Have cleared the level 20 main mission, and I think level cap is 30, so still a bit left.
TD1 is a great game and it turned 10 years old the other day. The snowy city is beautiful even though its a quarantine zone :/
I really hope there is an upgrade option or at least a heavy discount for us that already own the game. Otherwise I'll just wait a year or whatever as I'm not buying it full price again.
Thanks. Other people say 6700XT is possible and it's a good card and will pair nicely with your PC. I'm not in the US so can't comment on price but even a RX6600XT/6650XT 8GB is great for 1080p as an alternative.
I don't have any recommendations buy will say that my watch is one thing that I've changed over the last 2 years to be "just" a watch. I used to have a Huawei and Samsung and use it for tracking everything but I decided to get a Citizen Eco-Drive and haven't looked back since. Can't get more private than that :D
My goal this year is to finish off all the games I've left hanging so Pikmin is my first one on the Switch list. I've started all 4 but I'll at least complete them in order eventually :D
Currently the new ratings will only apply to games released after June. "Without applying the rules to current games the policy will do little to protect the children who are already playing them," Tofield said.
Overall I think the changes are positive but I think they definitely should apply to all and not just new releases.
Games lacking any way for users to report or block players online will receive a PEGI 18 rating.
Also this is interesting. I'm not sure how common it is to have no controls for this in a game but it should certainly make devs/publishers think seriously about it.
GRIP is a spiritual successor and is ,in my opinion, a better game than the originals. They actual teased a sequel just last week called GRIP XR which is exciting.
