  • I was on it prior to that so I completely disagree

  • People with brains recognize this. So Spez does not.

  • Reddit began as a clunky forum and was popular long before smartphones, though. And like the other person said, they didn't have an app for a long time. So this take of yours is a little flawed.

  • They're not entirely dead mall but The Proper People have some quality content.

Here's a playlist of just their dead mall videos: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLc9pB32V1QgLxqmVTmpSm-zsMILxdehj

  • Scotch tape also works for this.

  • Could be, I remember he did a survey shortly before the blackout about what we thought he should do. Maybe enough people said he should try to work it out? But yeah, who knows for sure...

  • Dang, that was my reddit app. As much as I loved it, I'm a little disappointed to hear it's still working.

  • I was gonna say, are they trying to speedrun becoming North Korea?

  • I'm also a reddit refugee (was on there almost 10 years) and tried out all the options (Lemmy, kbin, mastodon, squabbles) before finally settling on kbin as my new "home." Lemmy and Kbin are the most reddit-like, Mastodon is more like Twitter, and Squabbles is kind of a mash up of the two. So I'd say the "right" platform for someone like you is the one you personally prefer.

  • I was working. Those free seed handouts aren't going to peck themselves!

  • Bin chicken! Finally, a fitting description for my cousin Frank.

  • Squabbles was pretty for sure but it felt too peppy, for lack of a better word, to me.

  • Totally agree, especially with your last paragraph. It feels like we're going back to when the internet was full of possibilities and felt open. I'm excited about that!

  • Wow. He sounds overqualified for this new job.

  • This might be on the more extreme end of pain than what you have, but since you mentioned trying to correct your posture, I thought I should share what helped me.

I have degenerative disc disease in my entire spine and was having a sudden bout of horrendous sciatic pain that nothing else would touch. I sit for 8 hours a day in a desk job, and it was pure agony, even with a gel seat cushion and lumbar roll.

What finally worked for me was getting a posture correcting seat. This one in particular, but similar ones would probably work, too. Not to sound like a shill, but I started using that as soon as I got in the car after buying it and the pain was instantly gone by like 90%. I've been using it regularly for a few months now as much as I can and rarely have any back pain anymore. Might be something to consider!

  • I guess my main concern would be, are these owners or part-time residents voting elsewhere also? Would give new meaning to "vote early, vote often" if so.

  • That's a huge assumption not based in any sort of reality.

And, based on your replies in this post, I have no idea what Liz Lemon sees in you.
