idk, I feel like to be the type of person to flee the US when shit gets tough (if I even could) would make me the type of person I was fighting against in the first place (someone able to do that in the first place). Like don't get me wrong, there is value in moving. I have moved to different parts of the US, but it was because I didn't feel at home where I was, and I moved to a community. But fuck i'm so tired of listening to liberals who are like "I'm moving to Europe!" on a whim. Like good luck I guess, unless you have a valuable job you are about to find out what it's like to be one of us for a change. All of this to say, there is a very specific type of GTFO that some Americans have that is just annoying and speaks to the colonial upbringing that they haven't dealt with at best. A example is Not Just Bikes. The guy has some very useful videos that I use a lot, but fuck I get so tired of his "everyone should just move to Europe" spiel he does every once in a while.
So, "fun" thing. I was looking for research on how police dogs are mistreated and instead got page after page within the last two years of cops killing their own police dogs for various shitty reason. Various states too.
Its the yuppies. There are milinials starting to act like it too now. But there isn't as many of them as boomers.
Actually deleted and rewrote this part. Boomers can be the worst at times because of the above, but my knife wounds in the back have come from all types at this point that I tend to treat everyone with kid gloves till I get a read on them. Especially if they look like a stereotype in a Facebook comment thread telling me to do shit to myself cause I said shit about cops.
There are a lot of old people who shop when I do at the start of the month and...its fucking weird. Like you have to get out of the way or they'll just hit you as if they don't notice you are there.
Oh for sure. I just have a particular beef with Walmart because they are kind of the only ones in Oklahoma and they have not only destroyed a lot of people's lives around me but also my moms.
However I understand that they are all like that, and this is a deep seated biases. Not as many other box stores outside Tulsa and Oklahoma City in that state, so the grudge is very real.
Walmart is a mad max scene just not the reasons they think. Everyone there from the workers to the shoppers are poor and desperate mostly and pitted against each other. Hell in Muskogee Oklahoma the entire landscape of the city changed when the Walmart moved.
Its a fucking nightmare. But the cause is the ruling class, not the people like boomers think.
