  • Basically what skulblaka said. The air quality is normally not bad in terms of urban influence but when the inversion hits it creates a bubble which basically traps it all in the Salt Lake valley until the temperature changes or a strong enough wind comes in to "pop" the bubble.

  • Look I know this is an odd hill to die on but Fun Fact! stores can legally detain you if they have reasonable suspicion you're shoplifting. They are allowed to use reasonable force to prevent you from leaving until police arrive. The one caveat here is they don't have immunity if they falsely accuse someone like the police do.

  • I gotta second the paid option to support the devs. I posted about a crashing issue yesterday and they've already updated the app to correct it. It's a small thing but that kind of effort on a passion project is easily worth a few dollars donation.

  • Additional additional data. It seems to be related to specific communities. Certain nsfw ones (not all) that if I try to go to them it either then kicks me back to my "main" feed or crashes completely, so I don't know if something changed in certain active NSFW communities that it doesn't want to show?

  • More details if it's helpful, if I scroll too far from Top 6 hours it crashes. If I go to All Subscriptions it throws me BACK to my main Top 6 screen. If I go to New instant crash and it took some doing to get back in and go to a different screen where it wouldn't instacrash.

  • I'm 100% with you. It just felt like an exercise in picking every little detail of existing with diabetes apart and complaining about everything. Look at living with diabetes without a pump at all compared to a decent one like the t.slim, her complaints just seem so overblown.

  • Let me first state that not every type 1 will ever have the same scenario in life, but I'm type 1 using the same pump she has. My wife is type 1 using the same pump she has. I've had my pump die on vacation, I've ran out of insulin on vacation. She is making this all sound highly overblown in terms of difficulties and problems faced when running into pump problems. I've had that same company overnight me a new pump. I've had to scramble to find a long acting insulin to replace the basal coming from the pump. I'm sorry if she had a particularly bad experience with all this but that article makes every step of the process sound so much worse than the reality of having a pump is.
