  • I were going to make a list here of just the most outrageous offenses the US has done to US allies in just the last months. But the list kept getting too long for the short witty response I wanted to make...

  • Why do you think it is based on manual input? It would make a lot more sense if the Steam software detected the framerate automatically while you are playing.

  • I admit that your post was 100% fact free. So you did not make up any facts, I admit.

  • I see that you base your worldview on whichever fantasy makes you feel good in the moment, not reality or actually looking up facts. Good to know.

  • Assuming you actually think that is a valid argument, let me ask you a question: How well are Jews treated in e.g. Yemen, do you think?

  • Welcome to reality.

  • So Iranian proxies attacking Israel for years was completely irrelevant to Israel attacking Iran? Bullshit.

  • So while fuck Trump and his deportation plans, I don't think slavery is a correct description.

  • States run the elections

According to the constitution. The same constitution that says that Trump was not elegible to run for President in 2024, because Trump had engaged in an insurrection. The same constitutions that says Trump can't receive emoluments. In states truly ran the elections, then they would have been able to remove Trump from the ballot in 2024. SCROTUS barred them.

It has already been demonstrated that to the Republicans currently controlling the levers of power in the US, notable SCROTUS, the Constitution is just a meaningless piece of paper.

  • Before Deng, China was pretty bad, absolutely. I am no fan of dictatorships, but economically China since then has been pretty dang smart. They have bet long term on all the right techs. Look at e.g. batteries, electric cars, and solar cells right now.

With the very notable exception of their coming population crash and aging crisis. But many democratic countries face that too.

  • Singapore and China being notable exceptions. And few fuck up as badly as Iran.

  • Funny little old article from 2025:

On Sunday, the head of Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, Gen. Hossein Salami, denied his country was involved in the Houthis’ attacks, saying it “plays no role in setting the national or operational policies” of the militant groups it is allied with across the region, according to state-run TV.

Because of course Iran had previously blatantly falsely claimed that they had no control over their proxies, the Houthis.

While fuck Trump and his war crimes in all kinds of way, this war is ultimately a result of Iran playing stupid games with their terrorist proxies. Whether Iran will win stupid prizes, we will see.

  • For people who even hates Trump, why even believe what he says?

Because Trump in some cases has the direct power to make words into action. For example bombing Iran's power plants - that happens if Trump tells his generals to make it happen (after purging the general staff, of course).

  • From Venezuela, right? Venezuela is a special case.

  • But I assume that nobody at the time had autism, because they were not vaccinated. Worth it!/s

  • I am not sure the US even has any commercial ships there? The effect on oil prices in the US has been indirect, thought the globalized oil market.

  • Eh. My impression is that most civilian air travel is not truly necessary. Tourism, and stuff that can be done with remote work.

I worry about stuff like food prices for the poor. Somebody not being able to fly on vacation - not so much.

  • Eh, he was unambiguously wrong though? Not that it is forbidden to be wrong, mistakes happen.

Assume a new airframe replacement was hypothetically bought tomorrow, to take the destroyed airframe's place. That makes it very clear that the cost sustained by the US is not “lifetime cost to operate”.
