Accidentally tapping Posts while browsing, then going back to Home feed forces a refresh. I consistently lose track of posts I wanted to read.

Frequently (multiple times a day) I hit the Posts button accidentally while I’m scrolling through my feed, which brings me to my list of subscribed Communities. When I tap Home to get back to my feed, it reloads the whole thing fresh every time. All I want is for it to go back to where I left off. I’ve lost track of so many posts this way. Am I just an idiot using the app wrong?

Love the app, it’s still my favorite hands down.

  • This hasn’t happened to me but I can imagine the frustration. Maybe an option to hide buttons on scroll could help with preventing the accidental press.

  • This isn’t the behavior I’m seeing.

If I view this post, and tap the Posts button, it just goes back a level as if swiped back. And it’s still scrolled such that I see the post I just left.

If I tap Posts on while on the Home feed, it scrolls to the top of the feed.

If I tap Posts while scrolled to the top of a feed, it goes back a level. Home -> List of Feeds/Communities.

    Environment:

    • iOS
    • PWA install
    • Home feed set to show Top 6 hours.
    • I may have missed a step in my description, but regardless the issue is when going from Communities back to Home. It always refreshes Home, but I would rather it stay in the state I left it so I can resume browsing.

      • Oh I see now. That behavior is the same as mine.

But it sounds like you don’t have the scroll to top behavior in your Home feed. I say this because you say you frequently accidentally tap Posts, having it take you to the main screen. But for me, I would need to accidentally double tap it. Once to scroll to top, and once to go to the main screen.

I can also see you being frustrated with the posts button taking you to the top of the feed too.
