RIP. I'm no film buff but I have a soft spot from remembering her movies that I saw as a kid.
She was just amazing in both Father of the Bride movies!
I didn't see those, I'm pretty sure. I mostly remember her from Woody Allen movies.
IMO one of the great movies of all time
how much of a detestable person Woody Allen is, I grew up with those movies and i have soft spot for them.
I find some of Gandhi's quotes to be deeply insightful and personally life-changing.
That doesn't meam I approve of his disgusting racism.
Some of Hitler's paintings were pretty good; a lot better than I could do. Doesn't in any way justify his hideous adult life.
She seemed like a really likeable person
I never cared for her as an actress, but she seemed like a nice person who spread joy
I am anhedonic at hearing this.
I have the same calendar right here on my desk.
79 seems a bit young, does anyone know what happened? Wikipedia just says “her health was in decline.”
79 is not that young. Life expectancy for women in the US seems to be ~82 (I thought it would be higher considering how rich the US is). And at that age even somewhat minor medical issues tend be more demanding and impactful.
I feel like my goal is to hit 80 years old, but 79 is still a good, full life.
