Despite being a devoted Monster Hunter sicko for well over a decade now, even I didn't know about Monster Hunter i. And for good reason: The 2006 port of Monster Hunter G wasn't just a Japan-only release—it was a keitai game, released exclusively for early 2000s Japanese cell phones. It was Monster Hunter's first game for mobile phones, and until last month, it was believed to be lost to history.
As you might expect for games whose natural habitat was an early 2000s flip phone, preserving keitai games is a complicated process of recovering and decrypting software from decaying handset hardware. As game preservationist RockmanCosmo wrote for Hit Save in 2022, keitai preservation is "one of the most difficult sections of video game preservation due to its obscurity, regional concentration, and lack of documentation."
That’s a very solid argument not to buy from them again.
Actually, I never bought from them to begin with. I bought from Nest, and then Google acquired them and started in on the enshittification right away.
One thing kids like is to be tricked.
For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse.
“Oh, no,” I said. “Disneyland burned down.” He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke.
I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.
Journalists just need to step up their game.
The headline, style, and tone of the article should absolutely be along the lines of “a loud idiot with a powerful friend spouting nonsense while failing at a job for which he's unqualified”

Hi, is this available?
I prefer to get the DM to laugh and/or this:

So is that “fuck” or “marry” for this one? Unless you mean “love to death,” in which case is this a “kill” for you?
Thanks for the input. I’m saw it looked a bit more complex, but that shouldn’t be a problem for me. I’d much prefer something reliable.
Can you transfer in your Google Voice number? I don’t want to lose it.
You can also port your current USA or Canada number in to JMP after signing up with a temporary number from above.
Looks like a good alternative. Thanks for the suggestion.
Just started using this. It’s free (for a small amount of storage) and super private. Like so private that if you forget your password, your data is lost forever.
I guess I should have said why I’m considering them.

Looks like they’ve had web based messaging since 2020.

My main use for Google Voice is as a filter for places that need my number. Then it’s not ringing my phone (unless I want to).
I did also make sure any alternatives I’m considering do messaging. Even better if it’s both in browser and in phone app.

I’d love opinions on it, too. Or alternatives.
