I've never been to truly suppress a thought unless thinking to yourself "no thoughts" over and over isn't a thought
Nobody can. Thoughts occuring isn't ADHD thing - it's a human thing. Even Buddha had thoughts.
I've asked several people if their brain is ever quiet and all have said yes. My brain has never has never been quiet unless I was blackout drunk or something similar
Watchmen, right?
Either this or laser-focusing on a new game with a fresh, complicated system to manage & tweak during play for similar multi-stim results... 😅🤷🏼♂️
Any lesser known recommendations?
Currently? I'm on my 2nd run of Veil of the Witch, just installed Path of Giants yesterday, and relit my Duolingo flame a few weeks back, to name a few. (Yes, I'm that one who waits until the 11th hr before the weekly rank up closes and absolutelyfuckingsmashes 1k points in a sitting to take first place. 🤷🏼♂️ It's not personal, I'm simply brutalizing the system for dopamine)
FWIW, in a pinch I've been known to cobble together a semblance of distractionary paths like personal Pac-Man dots with games like Townsfolk, Unciv, Stellaris, FTL, Into The Breach, etc.
Some of my beloved standbys are RDR (all), DRG, Horizon (both), and if I'm allowing myself a VR dive (who needs "actual" reality anyhow?!), it'll be in Skyrim (modded AF), NMS, or Elite Dangerous (once you go full A-10 replica HOTAS IRL for your Allblack Mur-der-Lance, you're a lifer. It is known.)
fucko
Five Media and two drugs
Hmm... quick math scribbles ...That's like 23 rabbit holes in 42 different directions —every second.
