You could fit a larger wheel in there too, maybe even a tiny motor and drive train.
Dot! Dooooot! Dot Matrix!
Hell yeah, boots with motorized chain tracks! Now we’re going places!
First step towards Air Gear
Seems slightly dangerous...
They always were
They make Heelys in adult sizes since kids aren't as coordinated as grown ups
I love how many people are genuinely considering these shoes in the comments.
Wait, you don't?
I feel like the lack of ankle mobility is a death sentence
If I had that kind of money...
I have feelies about these heelies
No one they/them should have so much power
Ok armored core
yknow i'm thinking of getting metal legs, it's a risky operation but it'll be worth it
I always wanted to try those.
But I didn't wanna commit the money until I had some assurance of success.
I would unironically wear those everywhere
Least you can't break your ankles?
Would actually be easier to break them in these, they don't provide support and actually prevent some foot movements using heelies require at speed.
It's dumb
Now I want to design motorized heelies to fit in platform shoes.
But first I should probably learn to design motorized shit that's more sophcsticated than "turn on switch and go full-tilt with no fuses or battery protection circuits."
the ux of the controls would be a tough part I think. Although with how good modern microcontrollers are it wouldn't be that hard to make a tiny remote that communicates over bluetooth low energy
An electric skateboard controller would be all you'd need.
You could probably Just rip the guts out of a small board and make shoes as long as you didn't mind only having one foot drive...
All fun and games until someone goes all watch dogs on your shoes and skates you out the front of the line at the grocery store.
I'd go with a button in the nose that you press when your foot is flat on the ground. Lifting your toes activates the wheels, full throttle, no brakes. Ride or die.
i have heelies at home... my most priced possession.
I had to give mine to my brother because my feet shrank on hrt. Worst side effect ever (losing heelys, still happy my feet shrank)
Spring-heeled Jack boots or gtfo
