Not wanting sewage in Rivers makes me a wacko, I guess

More like we got tired of our kids swimming in per and polyfluoroalkyl substances, arsenic, mercury, cadmium, lead, chromium, benzene, toluene, xylene, ddt, glyphosate, organophosphates, atrazine, polychlorinated biphenyls, nitrates, phosphates, plastic garbage, etc
Almost like time and time again corporations have shown that if you do not explicitly force them to safely dispose of hazardous waste they will simply dump it in public waterways where it will eventually seep into the soil and even if it doesn’t it will persist for potentially thousands of years
- There is currently a problem in the uk–particularly London where all the sewage us just dumped in waterways and there's literally no clean water in the country.
  
  I feel really fortunate to live near a wastewater treatment plant. When the clean, treated water comes out it tastes like fresh spring water
  
  With the completion if the Thames tideway tunnel that opens this year there's expected to be something like a 90%+ drop off in untreated sewage entering the Thames from London.
- It is probably the biggest public health problem, and each instance is just to save a buck at the expense of premature deaths and chronic health problems.
  It will be getting a whole lot worse here the rules are gone, ignored, changed, flouted.

When they say they want smaller government this is what they mean. Less regulation
- And fewer people in the decision making processes. Being farther right then Democrats, they believe in a smaller, more exclusive ruling elite. Liberals believe in Rules but Right Wingers put their faith in Leadership.
