Using word `pussy` for cowards is misogyny & rude

Pussy word is used for men who lacks daring in reasonable situations. I don't see how it is rude & misogynistic? Probably they are sexist if they think woman can not be unemotional, stoic, strong and courageous.

  Age is relevant because you were kicking up dust in an ancient thread, which is pretty rude of you. And yes, it's casual misogyny. Nothing actively malicious, but still a problem. Except when you add in the "defending toxic masculinity" bit, which is actively malicious against acting "unmanly".

  Take this hypothetical: Let's say I was completely isolated from society. My parents taught me that using the N-word to refer to black people is okay. One day, I'm set free on my own. I use the N-word in casual conversation, but my friends correct me and say that it's wrong and racist to use that word.
  I refuse to change my language, because, "I shouldn't have to! It's my right to use the language I want!" What does that make me? It makes me a racist.
  In the same way, your (or anyone's) insistence upon clinging to the word "pussy" as an insult makes you a misogynist.

  Take this as a learning experience to become familiar with non sexist insults. Coward and gutless would be perfectly suited alternatives. It's the same principle as using "gay" as a pejorative towards a straight man. It's only insulting if you think being gay is something bad, so that is the implication. Just because these words are commonly used as insults in society doesn't mean they are not a form of commonplace bigotry.

Well, yes it's ingrained misogyny, and it's also ingrained into modern language. The mod can't expect to force people to stop using a word they personally disagree with, especially if it's normalised in the speaker's world. Sorry to check you like this, but some of the things you've stated don't entirely align with my worldview. I am of the belief that all beings are valid and deserve, at the most basic level, a free life and general comfort. Ridiculing someone can negatively impact this, and as modern life is already hostile to the vast majority, being nice to folk is the least we can do.
