"Watch the Irishman Suffer" is practically it's own genre of Star Trek episode. Chief O'Brien needs a break, he's just a regular dude who has witnessed his own death too many times.
- O'Brien and Kim are the official star trek punching bags. Name a bad thing, it probably happened to one of them
  
  Even Keiko gets fed up with O'Brien. She yells at him all the time and then straight-up leaves for months at a time.
  
  I've heard Koreans described as the Irish of Asia.
- His crime being the most normal and relatable character in all of Star Trek
- My partner and I love when we get to "...another 'O'Brien is crazy episode!'"
- The fact that he was a major plot point for the RedShirts book is one of my favorite things about that book. (Or rather, his "legally different because of copyright" Irish equivalent)

- She definitely used that terminology to describe Dukat and commented loudly on how weirdly horny he was for Kiera as much as possible in his presence.
  Garak definitely encouraged her to do that last one. He knows a delightful agent of chaos when he sees it.
  
  Now I really need some beta canon, preferably a proper cast radio play, chronicling their shenanigans. Plus a smidge of maudlin/harrowing, for that minty aftertaste.

My only problem with this is rom isn't an idiot. Well most of the time, sometimes they wrote him painfully stupid.
- He got less stupid as the series went on and they developed his character to actually have skills.
- That's Grand Nagus Rom, to you!
- He’s just a different kind of Ferengi, and that’s ok.
- Season 1, he was so supposed to be an idiot/cruel. They obviously saw that was a dead end char arc.
- Yeah, as if he's the first engineer ever to lack common sense and be slow with social cues.

Does Rom dirty.
- Workers of the galaxy unite; you have nothing to lose but your chains!

The growth of all the goblins is one of my favorite parts, especially Nog
- I don't think I have rooted for a character in a show before but I really really wanted to see Nog and Rom succeed.
