The president's net approval rating among Latino voters has dropped from -11 points in February to -23 points in September.

New polling conducted by Somos Votantes and the Global Strategy Group between August 26 and September 4 shows that Trump's net approval rating among Latino voters has dropped from -11 points in February to -23 points in September.

His favorability rating has seen a similar drop, from -12 points in February to -20 points in September.

Why gee, 8 months later, the latinos who inexplicably voted for the guy who spat right in their face finally realize he's not their friend?

- I think a lot of it comes down to news and education. Every bit of media they consume assured them that Trump was a no-nonsense tough guy who would tackle head on some of the issues that were of genuine concern to them. There are billions of dollars that go into manipulating the landscape in all kinds of ways to make sure that is all they were presented with. And so, that's the basis they decided on. What else could they do?
  Sure, you and me exist in a media landscape where that's a laughable joke, but I don't think you can necessarily blame them for not having lucked their way into the same places that we exist on. The white people, who were waving around signs saying "Mass Deportations Now" and then got all upset when it turned around on them, I think you can blame, but I think a lot of people of a lot of different ethnicities and backgrounds just got fooled by all the propaganda that is so polished and professional at this point.
  
  Oh fuck that, quit letting idiots off the hook for being idiots. There was, and still is, an absurd amount of information readily available about how shitty Trump is. If the people you're talking about cared at all they could have found it easily, but they didn't. That's not anyone else's fault but theirs.
  
  But this was the first Trump presidency. They had gone through it before. They knew what was going to happen.

  Have memories that go back to 2016-2020
  
  This was entirely about religious conservative Latinos not liking LGBT+ people, especially Trans people. This was all about "we support the Catholic religion, get these trans people out of the sports and bathrooms."
  Their lack of compassion and hypocrisy among religious Latinos came back to bite their own community in the ass like an ouroboros eating its own tail. Yes these people are to blame for voting for Trump and the ensuing policies. The policies were not secret, ignorance is not an excuse for poor voting choices.

  Millions of people didn't vote for Trump,.so how come they didn't ?
- I realized how stupid people were when I was younger (late teens). I always figured that I had to out think a handful of people to accomplish whatever it was I wanted to do.
  Mind you that there are a lot of people smarter than me (IQ) or that have more "common sense" but the combination of the two is rare.
  Anyone with eyes should be able yo see how shit Trump is but they don't and it hurts my brain.
  If you have any sense at all please run for local office and please push democratic socialist views.
  
  There really isn't a better self confidence boost that interacting with trump supporters. It's almost zero effort and instantly clear the difference is measurable in magnitudes.

They won't be able to vote, so it doesn't matter.

For the life of me, I have no idea how he ever managed to convince Latino voters to support him in the 1st place.
- Latino culture is just very conservative by nature. There's a lot of factors, religion, (family) education, traditions and just how their communities operate. It's more telling that Trump literally has to threaten deportation or extermination to get them to break ranks than his rhetoric for the past decade, let alone prior to that. If Latinos didn't have brown skin they'd be the model republican. And somehow that drives the power center of the party up a fucking wall thanks to their racist views.
  
  None of that should matter if you have and use a brain.
- Latino guys in trucks working blue collar jobs feel more like white Republican guys to them than liberal democrats. Only problem is that the gop doesn't think that.

- Trump didn't win the Latino vote, Biden lost it. The same goes for the 2024 election. It was a rejection of Democratic Party establishment, not a Trump victory.

Any Latino who voted for Trump fucking deserves anything they're getting now. It's not like he didn't tell them exactly how he feels about them for the past decade of American politics.
- I told my Mexican brother and wife that I'm going to laugh so hard at them when they eventually get deported, despite both being second generation Americans.
  I love my brother but he married a racist piece of shit and is being influenced by her loud, obnoxious ass; I hope they both get what they voted for. Personally I'm not worried about myself because I'm light-skinned, have a white last name, and was raised white by my Polish dad, so I look and act white (brother and sister-in-law are very brown). Only other Mexicans can recognize my mixed race I've noticed.
  
  I remember I would tell my dad over and over again "I hope you get everything your voting for, I hope you get the tarriffs, I hope you get the mass deportations, I hope Trump cuts interest rates to 0% causing inflation to skyrocket, I hope Trump cleans out the federal govt, I hope he does everything he says he's going do cause America needs to learn its fucking lesson"

It was wild how high it was to begin with. I used to work with such a dude. His parents came illegally but he was a citizen and would basically say "fuck you, I got mine" about all the "wetbacks" coming in. Working with that guy felt like being in the Clayton Bigsby skit from Chapelle Show.
