Regulation is what has made nuclear power as safe as it is — take it away, and nuclear can easily become unacceptably dangerous.

While regulations in the nuclear sector can certainly be inefficient, outdated, impractical and contradictory (don't ask me how i know), they're also the bare minimum that prevents the worst of the worst from happening.
