While it often applies to America as well, these people forget that they're deflecting legitimate criticism of totalitarianism, and did not answer to that. When that occurs, it's bound to be bad faith.
Now if only they did answer and only then moved on to the USA... that'd be better. Self-criticism is important.

You're either using the wrong flag (tankies that support the USSR) or not realizing that tankies simply support the US having less power, which makes it a diverse group. I have yet to meet a so called tankie that supports modern Russia. All about perspective.
