Yes Sox? You want more Churu? Sure.
I want to give that long mane a brush. Not that she looks like she needs one, but cos she probably loves having them.

I donāt know what you are doing but every time you post what I assume is a GIF, I cannot see it. Lol. Soz.
Work week ended on a slightly depressing note but it's good to see you guys here.

This is one of those weird days where I feel extremely good about myself and life and things but part of that involves cheerfully imagining work doesn't exist at all. I stare at my inbox and to do list and it might as well be hieroglyphics.
Been feeling like I have a massive constant headache lately, it's a semi regular thing. Went to the pharmacist to renew my birth control and get some aspirin for my headaches. The pharmacist actually ran back up to me whilst I was paying to suggest that maybe I'm having a bad reaction to the birth control, it's a potential side effect. I'm so grateful to her quick thinking. Heading back to my GP next week.
Thanks for the supportive comments everyone. š„¹ I actually gave the FREE Nurse -On-Call service a ring as well, just because I started getting a bit worried after reading some other potential symptoms I might be having. Regardless the nurse was so thorough and amazing, and I didn't have to leave my bed. It's a free service and saves a trip to the doc (I'll still go to change my birth control).
But anyway, +1 for free Nurse on Call.
hugs, hope it gets sorted and you feel better soon
The brand of bc I started on gave me the worst headaches around the 'sugar pill' week every single time - just knocked me out for several days every month worse than my normal period symptoms ever did. I switched to the generic version of the same meds and it has mostly gone away now. So it's is very likely! Good on the pharmacist for suggesting it!
Omg.... It's sugar week for me soooo
I've been selected for jury duty for the first time and I am genuinely stoked.
I hope you get a juicy case.

My partner asked to be excused on account of her being selected for a violent rape case... Up until that, I kept on punctuating her comments with the Law & Order dun dun
Me: I don't watch to many period dramas Also me: that cobblestone wall and iron gateway were featured in...
Although to be fair on myself I do have a pretty intensely vivid memory, a glance is usually enough for me to remember something, it's like an uncomfortable super power.
I kinda feel a bit pensive tonight for some reason. I stood out on the porch listening to the rain hitting the roof just starting off into space for a while earlier. I guess it's one of those nights
hugs , here, would you like a drink š· or a cookie šŖ š

Image of an open lamb wrap
And there is still enough garlic sauce left over to kill a small army with death breath.
Nice nice! Looks very yummy!
It was really good. Like really really good.
Gahdamn.
Gah. Apparently my offer to the house was the best and they have indicated they will accept it but there is a hiccup on a house they put an offer on and waiting on it to be sorted before anything official. I'm not sure what the hiccup is or how it affects their plans if it falls through but still more waiting and hope.
Still more waiting and hope for them for an even better offer to come through. Sounds to me like there's a mismatch between your offer and theirs on their new place ....
It could be. It definitely wouldn't surprise me. Though as I understand it (because I know which house they are wanting) is they put in their offer before I made mine.
Yeah, likely they need your money to buy the new place, but they're waiting for the other vendor. Hiccups can be a real pain in the esophigus.
Hereās my cheeky spoiling for myself.
A massive jar of lollies!
If you don't like the green ones I'll take them off your hands.
Oohh Iāll have to think about this.
Trade you for the lamb?
They are also the best kind of big bag of lollies. The "party mix".
Story time to cheer this place up a bit. So this was about 2002 and the man and I went to Sydney for a few nights. We stayed in the Ibis which was in Darling Harbour. At about 9:30 there was a massive display of fireworks. It went for about 10 minutes. We're both thinking what the fuck is this about (It was Melbourne cup weekend so we were very confused). We decided to go for a walk and we ended up at the convention centre (I think that's what it's called). Big sign out the front WELCOME. Heaps and heaps of very happy people around, lots of colours, music playing, just a really good atmosphere. A little bit of curiosity and a throng of people propelled us into this building (the man whispers into my ear "I think someone just touched me on the arse") and up or down the escalator (I can't remember) people hugging and kissing and cheering and waving and lots of noise and we are inching along, heading for a door. Then I spot the sign next to the door WELCOME TO THE GAY GAMES.
The man is bopping along to the music and then I had to tell him "I think we're gatecrashing". I point to the sign. We are nearly at the door. We look at each other and turn around to head out. Very similar to Ikea when you go the opposite way but worst. The man says "I got tapped on the bum three times in there". In all fairness he has got a great bum.
Still to this day we don't know what the gay games are about but everyone was having a great time.
Side note: We had access to the Novetel pool next door where we stole 4 brand new bath towels.
In case you're serious, the Gay Games is modeled on the Olympics, but for gay people. It's a sports competition.
Thank you. No I'm being serious because back then there was no advertising there was no nothing except for that one sign on the wall. The hotel staff had no idea what it was about. There was nothing to indicate that it had to do with sport. There was just nothing and I haven't heard of it since.
I don't know why but Sydney's role as a major venue for gay parades etc is better known overseas, more celebrated overseas, than it is here.
The Mardi Gras is one of the biggest events in Australia and a huge tourist draw, yet it's just not talked about much š¤·āāļø
Bum tax
Haha. That's my tax benefit
Appointment made and done, thank you. Meds taken.
All will be well.
Hope youāre doing ok!
I warm up quickly, but I get legit cold which is a wonder with some of the body fat I carry.
Like I am waiting for a flight dressed like an Eskimo. I have a tee on, a heat tech turtleneck, a jumper and a poncho that looks like a sleeping bag.
Meanwhile, stylish people just be jeans and light jumpersā¦ or even just tees. Iām wearing more than an older adult couple sitting a few rows away from me. š
I'm feeling nostalgic. How good was it being a kid (if you are my age) and waiting for new episodes of the Simpsons, or even daily episodes on Channel 10 at 6 just after neighbours (and my dad yelling to turn the tv down because he hated the neighbours theme song)
What makes you feel nostalgic?
Something you'd relate to with your recent house hunting: when you check out a listing and the place hasn't been substantially updated in 30 or 40 years. The faded but well-kept carpet, the amber glass and three lamp light fittings, undercover areas with green corrugated fibreglass, the kitchen table, the vinyl covered kitchen chairs with their chrome legs, daphne and gardenia near the meterbox and roses along the driveway, the coir mat at the front door, kids bikes on the front lawn and a podium tennis pole embedded in the back..
I've seen some of those houses haha
Totem tennis! The dog fucking loved it! That amber glass you speak of I have one. It's on the sliding door between my kitchen and lounge room. It a pain to clean.
I remember back in the very early 90s when Channel 9 would air Michael Jackson or Madonna's video clip for their latest song. It would go for a half an hour with a Molly Meldrum interview. The buzz at school that day and the day after was electric. Kid's going "It was so good that I taped it". Now I was not a fan of either but I knew I had to watch it.
I remember that specifically when Black or White came out. The face morphing blew my 13 year old mind.
hot sunny January days and the smell of the fields and the trees, iow, nature
Sitting on the floor infront of the heater watching cartoons before school
I remember I used to watch the Simpsons in the morning before playing footy. I'd be on the floor with the blanket over me and the ducted heating which created an amazing oven until it suddenly went cold for some reason.
I've been going through and watching episodes of the Simpsons and whenever I watch the intro it's giving me so much nostalgia for watching it at 6pm on both channel 10 and Fox8.
Man, remember the weekend Simpsons marathons. They were so good.
All of that. Yes.
Also, when I was 12, Dad bought a new tv, so I got the little CRT TV with the coatwire antennas for my bedroom. It had faux wood panelling down the side too, I loved it.
I would close my bedroom door and stay up late with the TV on 1 volumn, I'd sit right up close to it, and watch South Park and then Drawn Together lol.
No siblings, no disturbances. I credit both shows for my inappropriate and wack sense of humour haha
Hmm I think getting home after school and racing down to the park to meet friends there to play for an hour or two.
Also fondly remember episodes of Totally Wild on in the afternoons.
Not nostalgia particularly, but it was a blast from the past when the other day I found one of those old ring-pull tabs that used to be on drink cans. Also called 'pull-tabs' I think. Not sure when they were phased out in Aus, but in the UK they were mostly gone by the late 80s and replaced by the 'stay-tab' we all know today. The ring-pulls were sharp and dangerous and were littered a lot, so I certainly don't miss them!
Bong rips and Voltron. š¤
daylight savings makes me nostalgic. I used to fucking love it when daylight savings started: it meant me and the other kids in the street were gonna be out on our bikes , at the park, rollerskating (later blading), whatever for HOURS after school, plus it was almost christmas, and summer, and all the good things.
i mean, I still love DS, it just also makes me nostalgic.
DS was just the best. Playing cricket in the street until all hours. Good times.
I have fond memories of watching first run simpsons on my older brothers little tv in his bedroom while tucking in to my looney tunes microwave meal that my mum would make when I was being fussy. the Daffy duck spaghetti and meatballs and bugs bunny chicken nuggs were my favourites
BBOI came to visit.
Can't keep him still for a good photo because he's launching himself at door handles like the clever kitty he is.
Handsome golden hunk. Boi is stacked. Look at that sculpted body
Made me so happy this little ball of muscle ran up to me and headbuttered me the moment he arrived. little man remembered! (maybe)
Hey BB. Enjoy your night mate.

Exercises completed. Felt a bit stiff and sore after my little tumble last night.
No Mr Peeler needed a Dr to attend last night over a non emergency but still serious matter which we were worried was worsening and turning into something else. I called 13sick. Long story short, after telling me there was a Dr in the area, they then sent a txt msg that there wasn't and switched it to a Telehealth appointment, which in this instance was next to useless. When the Dr finally rang he told me that Mr Peeler needed to see a Dr in person for an examination. Well duh, thought I, who has 0 years of med school. Lots of bad reviews.
I think I need to start thinking of myself and looking after myself better.
Someone else complaining of not being relieved in time from duty so they can have their lunch, all while I always get relieved late, I'm always starting on time and taken advantage of while this other person who is filling today, while their timetable might have been filled up, didn't turn up for at least the first 5 minutes and was on their phone the entire time of their yard duty while I did the heavy lifting.
And I suck it up just about every week taking it. I think that now needs to stop because I'm grumpy, tired and peeved off.
Just tried the Aldi herring in mustard sauce. Not a fan. The sauce was no good unfortunately. Aldi herring in tomato is decent though. Pretty good to just dump the tin into some pasta and mix.
\
Overall, I am finding I pretty much only want my tinned fish to be in olive oil, nothing else - and no other oil.
Singing my song.
The curry one is not spicy and a little bit sweet if you were wondering.
Shame they donāt have a plain one in oil though.
Also no hash browns at Aldi.
I have tried that one too, better than the mustard, not as good as the tomato sauce in my opinion. Still none are as good as just the Brunswick brand plain Kippers I reckon.
Yoooo that rain makes me wish this was Friday night and I could wake up to the weekend
2 days ago I complained of it being a rough 24 hours. I had no idea. Kiddo got sent home from daycare and put on quarantine for a fever. Needed a sick note to get him back in. Mrs just started a new job so I stepped up. Doctors office was being a shit about the medical note to get him to return, kiddo was unhappy and the mrs's supposedly fixed car died in the arse at 100kmh on the freeway. Yeah.... im tired.
Morning everyone
Morning. hope you're ready for the day. Just finishing my instant coffee then outside I go.
Morning Mum š i hope that thing you have on later today goes amazingly!
morning mum im hungry
šÆ souva?
I made toum in the food processor instead of my usual stick blender and it gave me trouble. Stick to what you know works people. Anyway I got it to emulsify eventually and it's delicious.
It's freaking delicious. I can't stop eating it.
For lunch I bought a Campbells pumpkin soup. I rarely have soup but i have a headcold, didn't want to make a batch from scratch and felt like something soothing.
This is not very nice soup. Way too sweet and not thick. I don't think I'm gonna finish it.
Luckily the knot rolls I got from the bakery are perfection.
Add a bit of milk to it. It'll take away some of the sweetness. Or chilli flakes.
Well, hello! Get well soon!
We really need some quiz time here.
I'm on a mission to try a bunch of US chains I've seen on TV/movies. Tonight is Panda Express. We have some of the best Asian food outside of Asia so this would need to impress hard.
Verdict: excellent food court Chinese food, because that's exactly what it is, nothing more. I've had a LOT worse and not heaps better.
Motherfucker that's not a fortune, that's advice
Be a looming omen I base my life off which was randomly assigned to me by the nice Latina lady who I paid for my food court dinner or be nothing.
and this is where I introduce you to the game "in bed", where every time you read a fortune cookie, you add "in bed" to the end.
Will you be visiting one of those steakhouses where they slop the BBQ marinate over the slow cooked beef with a mini mop? Please do visit and post pics.
Make sure you throw your peanut shells on the floor!
Maybe! I'll keep an eye out
Bleh. Get some taco.
Ha I did something similiar a few years back.
Apparently I'm some kind of heathen because I liked Shake Shack better than In N Out.
Are you going to go to white castle?
Nah I tried it on my last trip here. I think they're over on the east coast too but they're pretty bad.. steamed burgers from memory.
I love Friday night because I get to stay up as long as I want without worrying about the time. During the week I get about 3 hours to myself every evening.
Friday's I go to bed around 4am-ish.
I don't do anything special, just bum around the house with the cat playing video games and guitar.
I feel like a 12 year old lol
I like staying up late on my balcony on Friday evenings, I can hear Sydney Rd, drum and bass, mingling with gigs, people laughing and falling over, the ding of trams and the horns of trains. Honks, beeps, and swears. I can't sleep in suburbia anymore; way too quiet.
Same. I love the sounds and smells of Lygon on Friday
every other night here it smells like the trees in the park, fresh and natural . Friday is when people come alive :)
I've grown accustomed to the peace and quiet of suburbia. Though I am looking forward to moving closer next year.
Will be nice to have some life around me again.
@Gibsonisafluffybutt @bot001 sameeeee
ok, I'm the one who hasn't slept how the fuck am I more on the ball than every single fckn person I've spoken to today
no you can't send a text message to that fixed landline mate why the fuck don't you just text the mobile number directly linked to the fortinet account? No ma'am I don't know "Ray" who fixes your computers, nor do I know his number, **you** will need to speak to Ray about your firewalls *no I can't fucking change your firewall I have no bloody access*
ok dude no I don't care that you changed your media library server from Monkey Fartbuckets to Sealion Orgy that has nothing to do with the fact our Qnap box is offline
That is the funniest shit I have read so far today. Hopee your day gets better though.

Saw something really interesting in a tram the other day. I got on and moved toward the front cos that would be easier when I got off. But it strongly stunk like stale piss and I quickly moved to the other carriage of the tram away from the stink.
From there I noticed there were 3 people sitting up the front in a pretty much empty carriage, the rest of us were crowded in the other carriage.
Looked to me like a good way to sort out those who have lost their sense of smell because of covid.
Or 3 people who wet their pants
Taking a little break from the funny gummies and as a result had the most vivid and bizarre dreams last night which is unusual for me even sober. No issue drifting off to sleep either!
I really need to get into edibles if I have any hope of getting off the tobacco (rolled joints). Don't even know where to start though.
One of those days today. People getting on my nerves and disturbing my break times in a bad way today.
After work I think Iām going to go and buy some budget lollies and a pack of cocktail frankfurts to enjoy over the weekend.
This weather is stay in bed weather, but I'm at work
That 10 minutes of sunshine we just had was nice while it lasted
Can't sleep. But I want to. Deep breathing, stretches, nada.
Guess I'll play bg3 and hopefully sleep will take me.
Remind me to make a doctors appointment in the morning, thnx.
Make a doctor's appointment in the morning.
Did you make that doctors appointment?
Ah. The Shining never gets old for me.
Book or movie?...I saw the movie first, then read the book. Both are great.
Movie. I don't remember if I ever read the book....and...that probably means I didn't or I never finished it. I usually read the book first but I'm no good with Stephen King's writing on paper.
Excellent, housemate is super ill, I swear if it's a different bug to the one I just had and I get sick again I will go insane.
Linda Hamilton - power role. Old school movie night.
seriously the best "I told you so" in all movies
Funny call from an Amnesty phone chugger today. His words are in inverted commas, mine are not.
"Do you want a copy of the lgbtqia+ ally guide?" Apparently I asked for one somewhere. I don't remember doing so. Ummm, well, I guess maybe I asked for it so I could give it to my mother, she's trying but not the greatest ally. "Do you want to be a great ally to all your lgbtqia+ peers?" Ummm, I'm trans and gay. I'm not sure I need it, but I guess I could be a better ally too. Ok, send it along. Did you know that in 68 countries it's still illegal to be gay. Yes. "Something something, death, capital punishment, homophobia something death, despair pain" Ok, fair. "Now, would you like to pay 30$ a month to help us create change in those countries?" I can't really afford at the moment. I had to leave a transphobic workplace where I was also bullied by queer staff and now earn substantially less money. "Well consistency is more important than the amount, how about $10" No, please stop. I volunteer for a transgender advocacy and peer support organisation who are actively promoting change across Victoria. I'm doing something proactive locally, which is about all I have the capacity for at the moment. "Ok can we just confirm your email address? It's deadname@gmail.com correct?" Uh yeah, that'll work but that's my DEAD NAME! "ok DEADNAME, I'll send the ally guide there" I'm feeling definitely good enough today and share and laugh about this, but fucken ell, ally this, death suffering, chugger chugger, deadname, ally that. ok? LMAO
This feels like those people who are like "HER PRONOUNS ARE THEY AND THEM!".
Like... thanks dude.
Yeah, allies are doing their ummm best? At least things are slowly changing. but fucken ell some of the crap we hear from people over time is everything from funny to completely insensitive.
I found it all quite hilarious. How to be a better ally: Don't use dead names when you're chugging.
Me waiting to hear about the offer on the house:
https://frinkiac.com/video/S08E09/tKT-hsHkxMRi4ln0x7TvZxEzkVA=.gif
give the poor fella some time to have a bit of a sulk if its not in the range he wanted. Probably more likely means its gonna be a yes from him the longer it takes. they'll be trying to urgently find something better, but if its been on the market a while they know they wont.
This is a different house. I like both for different reasons but this one they need to upsize which is why they are selling and needs minimal work. Plus I will have no debt and the implications of that are so good (travel, providing for little one, savings). But no idea what their thinking is. It's been on the market for 2 months and I know they've put an offer in on another house which I think has been accepted so really up in the air but I feel like it is promising. I am just impatient.
Flying solo tonight, kebabs and margaritas it is then.
Plurals on both. I appreciate that.
Collins st falcons video is "private" now - can't access it. Any suggestions?
They said that it was switched on by accident - they were testing the feed and hadn't realised it was accessible.
Should be available later this month.
That makes sense. Specially as this is the month that the falcons usually lay eggs. Will keep an eye on it.

remember when itunes first came out, and people would just....make their music library available to anyone in the vicinity? so you could be sitting at your computer, open itunes and have the option of listening to Brian-on-level-five's library as well as your own?
that is all.
Yeah, it was a mixtape-from-the-future type thing and was awesome. I miss mixtapes. I really put some proper thought into a couple and gave them to some people. Once or twice I would get a text saying they liked them, asking about a certain artist etc. That was cool. I made one for my partner early on. A couple of years ago I was looking for a playlist on our YouTube and saw that she'd made a playlist of that mixtape. That was cool too.

The US have not embraced the paper straw/wooden cutlery life. I remember how great it was. Sorry, sea turtles š¢š¢

Trump does a Seinfeld (The Paper Straw Routine) - YouTube https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mAOLyi_4AbQ
I just saw this the other night.
Haha that's brilliant. I bet his speech writers were working late one night and one goes "I bet I can get him to do a Seinfeld bit" and they all had a good laugh
The little French bakery near me does these delicious little pasties that are amazing buttery pastry, mashed potato, peas, corn & carrots. So simple and so, so good.
Ugh. Tried the Mitchum clinical gel in powder fresh (given to me) but I just had to scrub it off with hand soap. The scent has given me a headache.
