Fourier made similar discoveries a few decades before - at least in terms of co2's climate warming potential.
But yeah, women have been written out of the history of scientific discovery so Eunice Foote should be recognised. Joseph Tyndall also made similar discoveries at the same time. People do independently arrive at the same conclusions.
- Especially in a time where communication was sparse and took a while. So many women have been an important part of science, many were probably never even documented.

- He postulated the greenhouse effect but I think it was warming air not CO2 that he was musing about. Foote seems to be the first to link CO2.
- Sounds like the name of a researcher with a French last name, who, likely being a scientist, would have conducted their research under routinely strict (i.e. not liberal) controls.
  
  No wonder cuckservatives don’t believe in climate change besides being fucking morons. If a woman did it, it must be dismissed.
  
  He discovered that the earth is as warmer than it should be rather than freezing. The greenhouse effect is fundamental to our existence. No bad for a scientist in the 1820s.
