Anyone else like enclosed spaces?

I had a moment today where I realized that I prefer smaller enclosed spaces without a lot of sound. I know that is a classic Autism trait but I never connected the dots. I've always done what feels best in the moment.

  • May I introduce you to my favorite relaxation activity: getting an MRI... Yes, I know it's not an every year activity, and it's expensive... But you simply must try it. I have a doctor that thinks I need one every two years on my brain... And it's so relaxing... Nobody bothers you, they have that loud techno music called "magnets", and it squeezes you just right.

Yes, I know I have problems.

  • Yes it was something I recognized decades ago, although I only discovered the autism a couple years ago.

I love small spaces, and having less stuff also gives a similar mental effect

  • Definitely. I also have some weird agoraphobia. Can't be in open spaces by myself, unless blasting music into my ears. Even some big vehicles' interiors scare the crap out of me with how big they feel. Compact cars forever.
