AOC’s office vandalized after recent House vote involving US aid to Israel

A Bronx office of the US House member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was vandalized early on Monday, according to New York City police, who say they are investigating.

The vandalism occurred after Ocasio-Cortez on Friday voted against a defense spending bill amendment authored by the Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia that would have eliminated funding for the system protecting Israel from missiles.

Her vote on Greene’s amendment prompted the Democratic Socialists of America to issue a statement accusing Ocasio-Cortez of backing Israel’s “eliminationist campaign against the Palestinian people”.

this all reeks of smear to me. the source, the op, the omission of details. and people just going along with it, “oh well guess i’m done with her.” well that was easy.
- @geneva_convenience is on a one-person crusade to bring down AOC. Like, she must have cut them off in traffic once, or taken the last ice cream bar. They really hate AOC.
  I haven't blocked them yet, but since Lemmy insists on showing me only their posts smearing AOC (who does not receive money from AIPAC)) for some reason, I'm tempted to. From their post history I'm inclined to believe they're posting in good faith, albeit with a clear bias and often creative editorializing.

- I just checked and Summer Lee and Al Green's office, who voted yes on blocking missiles for Israel, were not vandalized.
