What's y'all favorite soda/soft drink

Kofola is cola with herbal taste, made in Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Sparkling water
Probably ginger beer. I'll even squeeze some lime in there if I want a Moscow mule hold the Moscow.
I like sodas that are off the beaten path, so my favorite is Belvoir Rose & Elderflower sparkling lemonade. It's the perfect summer treat after coming inside from the heat. It's fantastic even when it's watered down, or mixed into a cocktail, or if you add it to lemonade, but it's great just on its own. I love floral and herbal flavors and it's just lovely.
My other favorite would be Reed's Ginger Ale, one of the few ginger ales you can buy made with actual ginger. It comes in several "strengths" and I like them all.

I hate that it's often associated with a specific type of person, but I like the flavor of Mt Dew.
IRN BRU
Bawls
I used to be a huge soda drinker when I was younger, but in my middle age I've almost entirely switched to seltzer with a little juice thrown in.
Club Mate
Dr. Pepper Zero Sugar
Anything ginger (ginger ale, ginger beer, spicy, not spicy) as long as it's fizzy. Not all the time, these are treats.
Most root beer. A&W is solid. There's one I don't like with perfume undertones.
We make our own seltzer and it's my favorite. But any ice cold seltzers will do.
If I'm in a restaurant and craving soda, I get a coke or diet coke.
In the US South, an ice cold Cheerwine made with cane sugar in a glass bottle.
Homemade tepache #1
Homemade ginger beer #2
Diet Coke/Coke Zero is my #3
TIL about Tepache. Over the years I've made it a ritual to make ginger beer when the weather is favorable in my corner of the world and I look forward to it all the time. Could you help me with an easy to follow recipe? Does it work well with semi ripe pineapples cuz those are more easily found where I am? Is it possible to ferment this when humidity is on the higher side and the temperature is as high as mid 30s Celsius?
Yes on the hot weather, I am in Florida, and it just ferments a little quicker. Trust it, when it gets bubbly or foamy, strain it and refrigerate. Though we keep the house under 30 if we can, it's not always possible and tepache is not fussy. Cover it with a tighter woven cloth if there are flies though, and secure it with a rubber band. How underripe are the pineapples? If they are edible to you it should work fine, you might need a little more more sugar. My detailed process is in the pinned non-alcoholic drinks thread on !cocktails@lemmy.world .
Tepache is a version of fruit kvass - you can make it with other fruits if they are more available where you are, I have some strawberry kvass in my fridge right now. I have done guava, never got melon to work. But pineapple is very reliable at fermenting, so it's a good one to start with.
Paulaner Spezi
I’ve been craving a soda. I think I’m gonna take this as a sign to have one. Recently I’ve been making simple syrup and adding it to club soda. Today’s soda will be mint flavored
Moxie
Kolashanpan - Salvadorian soda that's a unique flavor I have a hard time pinning down. Kind of like a orange vanilla bubblegum mix?
Mnt. Dew Baja blast - a more lime flavored Dew
Dr. Pepper - the OG favorite
IBC cream soda - when the craving hits once in a blue moon
Back when I lived in N. Carolina, there was a local brand called "Dr. Enuff." Loved that stuff.
I snagged one of those at a gas station heading home from Tennessee and it was really good!
I love weird and wonderful things. In Switzerland they have Rivella, made with milk whey. Deliciously refreshing.
In Czechia they have Kofola, the BuyEU poster drink. It looks like a cola drink but the taste is fairly different in a good way. They have cherry and lemon variants too!
I had the most delicious coconut flavoured fizzy water in Lanzarote, the brand name is Firgas, I believe it is a Canariense brand.
Japan has Calpis, don't mind the name because this stuff is insanely good! It's a tangy yoghurt based drink. The Korean equivalent is Milkis, equally delicious.
Talking about Korea, Lotte makes a pine bud drink (sorry can't link to that one!) and it's such an unusual and refreshing drink I really recommend it. They also have sikhye which is a drink made of fermented rice (amazake in Japan, jiuniang in China). And on the topic of rice drinks, Woongjin morning drink is superb, it's a bit pricey outside of Korea but so worth it.
Now for the number one in my heart, the drink I could inject in my veins because I like it so much is Liptonic. It's a fizzy ice tea and it's a crime it's not available everywhere.
Cream soda, and root beer. Then probably (non-alcoholic) ginger beer.
It's not as easy to find, but I love birch beer.
Interesting. I live in The City Of Birches. Maybe there's some to find here.
Water
EDIT: Unless I'm on a plane, at which point the answer is ginger ale
Yeah but damn man...on a plane, a black coffee with some biscoff really fucking hits though.
Does Polar seltzer count?
Diet cokehead here!
I drink water too. And if a restaurant tries to sneak me a diet pepsi, I ask them to bring me iced tea.
Real Sugar Coke in a glass bottle by Coca-Cola.
Other than that, some fastfood places have their fountain coca-cola formulas mixed just perfectly so that its on-par with the aforementioned, sometimes even slightly better, but those fountain versions is not consistent and sometimes it could be worse depending om the day and probably depending on how fresh the syrup is. (Because sometimes I feel like its pumping out the last few drops of the cola syrup)
My mom almost exclusively buys her soft drinks from the fountain instead of canned/bottled because she insists it tastes better and is more carbonated!
Pepsi Max
Diet Dr Pepper if I'm visiting America
Dr. Pepper!
fanta/sunkist/orange
(s)urge
My man!
Urge is still my go to every single time I want soda. Solo for easter and Julebrus for Christmas
I just want to point out I thought this being in my homepage on Voyager was funny
Someone mentioned Kolashanpan, I'll also throw Vimto in the mix. Both drinks of the gods.
Sunkist Orange
Dr Pepper pre-aspartame (or HFC).
Solo out of currently produced drinks.
Sugar cane juice! (Comes in a can, does that count?)
Honorable mention: coconut la Croix.
Love me some canned static
NOS
No love for chinotto?
Coke zero > pibb zero > dr pepper zero > diet coke >>> diet Pepsi
I'm on the last day of a business trip and seem to be deep in Pepsi territory (first time I've ever even seen Starry.) Diet Pepsi is OK, but I'm hoping there is a coke vending machine on the other side of airport security at this small airport.
Starry used to be Sierra Mist if you’re familiar with that.
Faygo. Northern Midwestern US soda
Mrs. Stewart's Cream Soda.
My. Dew but I really don't drink soda anymore. When I did it was my absolute favorite and I would drink it very often.
Gingerale (prefer jamaican brands to canadian dry), Fayrouz (Pineapple flavour), and Dr Pepper.
They don't exist where I am now, but RC Cola, Dr. Pepper, Kroger Cherry Cola, and European Orange Fanta.
My new favourite that I can have is Vita Sparkling Lemon Tea!
Birch Beer. Not all the time but when I crave it, it hits the spot.
Birch beer is great, give sarsaparilla a shot if haven't and you're into rootbeery flavors. It's a very similar taste.
I came here to say root beer but only because the others aren't as easy to find.
Birch beer and ginger beer. Both non-alcoholic.
When Rocket Fizz had a location here, I tried a ton of stuff but those were my favorites.
Zevia cola
I read this question and immediately started craving a diet coke lol
