Murderbot, Them, and The Time I was Reincarnated as a Slime. The anime is surprisingly fun, with very low stakes. I watch that one on my commute to/from work.
Just finished Murderbot. It's pretty good. I heard the books have way more stuff happening, but as a non-reader, the show was good as it was - a fun, quirky series that had just the right amount of run time.
This one is anime, but I'm currently watching Samurai Champloo, a 2004 animated series. It's great, and the soundtrack is amazing (Nujabes). Check out the ending credits song.
just the right amount of run time.
The overall amount of runtime might have been ok, but imo the short episode duration paired with a weekly release schedule imo was terrible.
Besides that (as a book reader) i felt a bit underwhelmed. Somehow i just didn't click with the cast. Although i wasn't as irritated as expected by the fact that murderbot was depicted as male. In the books the gender and appearance is never specified and i somehow had a female mental image, a bit more in the sarcastic direction like glados from the portal games.
"Murderbot" is the perfect combination of smart and silly.
"Landman" is Billy Bob Thornton at his best. And yes, he pooh poohs the environmental impact of oil, because he's playing an oil man in Texas.
I hated the show because the books are incredible and set my expectations way too high. It had its moments but the books are on another level.
I read one of the books, second or third in the series. It was okay. I liked the show much better, especially when they showed bits of "Sanctuary Moon."
I'd suggest you check out some of her earlier stuff. "The Death Of The Necromancer" is set in [sorta] 1880s Vienna with a jewel thief and his actress partner getting caught up in a magic war. It's fun having the heroes get on a train to go visit a witch.
"The Wizard Hunters" follows the couples now adult daughter as she deals with an airship invasion.

Nice, thanks for the tip. I enjoyed Goliath; I suppose this is in a similar vein?
Been really enjoying "Poker Face"
"Good Girls Guide to Murder" wasn't bad either.
I started Poker Face recently. Only a few episodes in, so far so good.
Rewatched Legion. Originally I watched up to the end of S2 when it came out, but it started going a bit too off the rails and by the time S3 came out, I was completely lost.
I'm glad I rewatched it though because S3 takes a new and interesting direction with better pacing, and without sacrificing creativity. Great series.
What platform did you see it on?
I've rewatched it before, but I could do another round.
I'm watching season 1 right now, it's a real headfuck but I think the actors are carrying it well.
I was able to watch season 1 and 2 at the same time and had to wait for 3. It was tough taking the break and trying to come back into it. Very complicated in parts but such a fun show, I've been meaning to rewatch it.
In doubt : rematch DS9 and Voyager
I JUST finished a rewatch of Voyager. I forgot how weird and abrupt feeling the finale was.
I was thinking of rewatching Silicon Valley.
I'm rewatching, it's still good and I forgot a lot.
Aculpulco on Apple TV.
It's in the vein of Jane the Virgin, but not as heavy on the telenovella elements. Light-hearted and fairly funny.
For just me, I finally finished Trek SNW in preparation for the new season. Holy shit I couldn't have imagined waiting this long with the cliffhanger of season 2.
Fellow Travelers - Worth the hype. Peacemaker - Just started, I'm so glad to watch a DC show that's not made by Berlanti
Fellow Travelers, this one? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15384586/
Best opening song and dance!
"The Last Narc" a 2020 documentary miniseries about the Guadalajara Cartel, a dominant force in the drug trafficking business in the 70s and 80s.
We started The Summer Hikaru Died and it is very weird but I’m enjoying the main characters a lot!
