  • Lmao howling at the comment I just read under an actor interview that said "she just does it for the money". My guy I hate to break it to you but everyone needs to be able to pay the bills, no ones rocking up for anything that time consuming just because.

  • Just devoured this.

Most of my fizzy drink gone.

    I am content.

Chips to come soon after resting while watching the Matildas. Come on, you can this!

  • God, I'm tired. The Matildas are going to have to (please God) win without me.

    • I just woke up. I came home and collapsed in bed and straight up went to sleep for 3 hours. ...And I'm going to have dinner and drug the cat and go straight back to sleep I think. Sorry Tillies ;_;

    • Night night.

Hope you wake up to some good news.

    • Same. Night. Good luck Matilda's 🥱💤

  • Please post your pre game meals, snacks, drinks, platters etc tonight. You'll make me very happy 😊 Go Matildas ⚽ 💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚 ⚽️

    • Will do though nothing fancy.

Home brand cheese corn chips, bottle of homebrand orange drink and my bargain of the day, a 700g of smoked ham for $2.80.

I went crazy and ate about 1/2 of the ham already.

I’ve got a whole pizza as well in the fridge ready for game time.

    • Munching on a blood orange that is so good it should be illegal.

    • Tea and biscuits

    • Have just been enjoying seaweed rice crackers and hummous. Will be getting some pizza for the akshul game. To be enjoyed with a light sweetish but not sugary white wine. Bugger health - I need comfort fuud tonight!

    • chicken schnitzel on rice with tomato and onion

salt&vinegar chips with some kinda sweet drink

    • I had a bowl of air fried cooked brown rice. One half desert spoon of olive oil and half a teaspoon of vege real gourmet stock with about a cup of cooked brown rice. Ten minutes air fry, its crunchy and tasty like potato chips, but cos brown rice / olive oil, super healthy. For game snacks its rice cakes and promite. I'm keen on keeping this figure.

    • I am having some sweet chilli and sour cream chips. Will be having bean and beef burritos with guac and coriander sauce and a side of rice.

      • Yum. We'll be having nuggets, little boys and chips with cheese and gravy. Assortment of sauces and dips to go with.

    • You know, I just might need some snacks...

    • Corn chips, generic brand Pringle type chips, salsa and some dips. We already ate the party pies and sausage rolls. Also home brand soft drink. Tea for me.

  • Everything came up milhouse at the gp today. I'm healthy af, ideal weight, hormone levels are exactly where they should be and my bp and ecg are so bloody normal I feel basic.

If the matlidas win and I have a nice walk along the beach in the sun it'll be perfect. Wish the game didn't start at 8pm though, there's no way I'll stay up for the whole thing.

What to eat for the game though? I think the usual rice cakes marg and low salt vegemite will do fine. Staying away from processed foods, sugar and booze are obviously doing wonders for me. After the total glum and transphobia of last week, I feel positively fucking on fire. Thanks Milho

    1. Going to try and ask my boss if I can work from home tomorrow, I don't think it'll happen but I'm hoping.
    2. Maybe I'll watch the sports ball. I love women so much. Like... I just, I love women.
    • I love women too! Defo watch the fit women play that ballsport lol

      • Yeah I don't know a thing about soccer all I know is that I'm gay so... I'm sure that cancels it out hahah

    • Feel that. I went a bought a long cable so I can watch it on the tv in the bedroom I got free last week. Apparently half the Aussie team have partners in the English team. Gonna be a great game, with extra tension. I doubt I'll see it all though. I get up at 5 for work and I'm just super opposed to living tired anymore. I love women a lot too, and I feel like my current shape is quite Matilda's player-esque so that's nice. It's lovely to be excited about women's sport and know the rest of the country is too. It's about time.

      • Honestly I'm a hypocrite because I support women's sport I just don't watch it.

        But man... women.

  • So in preparation for the Matildas match tonight I've decided i might splurge a little on some comfort/junk food tonight.

I'm thinking maybe chips and a bottle of soft drink for tonight. It was also suggested that maybe I do a hot chocolate as well.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions, preferably not too expensive.

  • Soxcat has been sadly quarantined to the study and bathroom (with all electronics removed as she has once almost sprayed on a laptop...) No comfy couches or the bedroom for her lest she pee on things that are significantly harder to clean. Left out a heated mat for her on low heat for 8 hours though.

Poor girl, she seems to have lost weight - she's so light! And she snoozed on my lap for over an hour and it hasn't even been 12 hours since she arrived - that's record time - but I think it's because she's being all hormonal and affectionate.

  • Alright, the cat's booked in for a hormone blood test tomorrow and I need to give her gabapentin tonight and tomorrow morning to sedate her beforehand. I have never given a cat pills before, let alone a squirmy one who's acting particularly wack. By the end of all this I think I'll have gone through all the hoops of being a cat mum, without ever having actually owned a cat...

    • Good luck catto, be strong 🙏

    • Why is the delete button right next to the edit button on mobile…

      It’s work experience!

If it’s the hard capsules you can crack it open and mix the powder with her meal, Melbcat doesn’t seem to taste hers. I do the same with Zylkene too.

Meat baby food is also a good mixer if they like it (without onions or garlic - I use Heinz pumpkin potato + beef or Smiling Tums beef + vegetables. There may be a suitable chicken kind as well.). Or Churu treats if she likes them.

If it’s truly a no go you mix it with a little water in an oral syringe and drip it in their mouth. I’ve never burritoed a cat before and can’t offer tips but that’s an option if truly desperate

      • Hahaha, I saw your original reply seconds before it was deleted and was wondering what was up with that. I was all worried cos I thought the pills were tablets, but after reading your reply I've had another look and actually they are hard capsules, thank $deity! I've definitely had luck giving her Zylkene before mixing it into food.

This time around she's hardly eating anything out of the bowl - but she did go absolutely insane for the churu last night, so I think I'll try that. I also have an oral syringe I can use if it comes to that, thankfully. Had to give her bupenorphrine before so I've done the burritoing (once. Thankfully she didn't actually mind the taste so I didn't need to do it after).

That's so good to know that gabapentin doesn't have a really awful taste. I've got enough stress on my plate with work tensions and I'm really not looking forward to this evening :(

  • Had a manger try and scold me for something that was kind of their fault (they missed a couple of emails and a meeting invite).

I'll be riding the wings of smugness for the rest of the week.

  • Op Shop find of the day. $6 A natural tumble faceted peridot necklace, the beads are pretty big, some flaws , yellow green but nice none the less. 👍

  • So good news and annoying news.

I can work from home tomorrow but I have to essentially video chat/screen share the whole time with my... assistant of sorts. Like she's not an assistant but she does assist me in things. Iunno. Anyways, I'm basically giving her free reign to reply to all the emails I can't get to. Because the place I work for, one of the websites they look after you can't have just anyone logging into the emails which is annoying but I understand.

In other good news and annoying news, went to the doctor's and the doctor didn't even print of the referral and the poor receptionist was trying to print it off but it wasn't printing correctly. I got to the doctors at maybe 5:15 or so, and I only left at like 5:35. Like the receptionist was checking all the papers from this doctor and I just go "I have a feeling she didn't print it off because she thought she could email it to me." and yeah pretty much. Then I got picked up by a yank tank and I hated it. I hated getting into it, my chronic pain hated it. I just hated every second.

And now I'm overstimulated and I just want to cry and die. Possibly at the same time, maybe one after the other. And then I've gotta cook dinner, but I'm excited for dinner. I just... UGH. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk guys.

  • My pre game dinner/snackapoos. Nuggets, cocktail franks, chips, cheese and gravy, bbq and tomato sauce and a couple of g&ts. Also I did a little research and found I'm low on the gin so Gentleman Jack might make an appearance tonight. Also when I said post your meals I meant pictures people. PICTURES. My bad.

  • I was lovely and cosy until I stuck out an arm to pat a cat.
    Then... 🥶

    • I almost never have the heater in my bedroom but I brought it in last night and set it on a timer. No regrets

  • Have to stay up for night shift prep, so put something gay and sad on thinking I'd be alright because it takes a bit for me to get worked up, but jesus fuck! I just am so insanely lucky to have my parents and their unwavering love and support. My Dad struggled a bit but he always reminded me he loved me, and his awkwardness around the subject had nothing to do with me. I don't know man, should not have done that, going to be thinking for a while and telling my Mum I love her.

    • Yeah, I feel lucky to have parents who are supportive of my sexuality and gender. Like they get very confused sometimes because I use they/them pronouns, but I understand that it's hard to get. My ex-stepdad was an absolute fucking dickhead, I'm glad he's not in my life anymore. But yeah, a lot of these stories about queer people being kicked out or killed really just hurts everytime I hear it. Like recently there was a dancer (who was my age!), O'Shae Sibley, who was voguing to Beyonce at a petrol station was killed. Like... it hurts, it really hurts.

  • Was thinking of going to the gym but Jesus Christ it's cold

Edit: OK apparently I'm not going to the gym because I've just prepared myself a hot chai. Great

  • sigh

Wasted so much of my break time today trying to organise things for to make sure everything runs smoothly at work and nothing achieved apart from losing most of my break time today.

I'll be glad to get out of work today as soon as it all ends.

  • Pizza sauce made, now waiting on the dough in the breadmaker. With 20 mins to go, it's looking a bit wetter than I'd like at this stage of the cycle.

  • 4 hours sleep. Calling it early. Work can take a hike today

    • Didn't get back to sleep but fuggit I'm going to work. I have no sick leave left and I don't wanna be home for rental inspection today. Might see if I can finish at lunch or something

  • Damnit, sucked into Alice in Borderland S2. Should have been in Snoozeland hours ago. Pray for me. Today’s work gave me a raging headache. Tomorrow might just lay me flat.

  • it’s 0C outside. I’m very awake. Not sure if I should get up.

  • Have a fire going in the fireplace full bore thanks to those wax firefighters and the column heater going because Sammi made straight for my lap as soon as I sat down.
Sammi is basking on my legs and Zooks is stretched out on her side with her back to the heater and her front to the fire.
I just hope these cold mornings are over by the time I go back to work.

  • USA TV advertisements are fucking weeeeeird

edit: switched to 7plus stream, American accents hurt

    • Never not weirded out when I see an ad for prescription medication when streaming US telly, also shit tons of fast food ads like absolutely insane amounts of fast food ads.

  • I slept poorly. I am not running at 100%.
I made a mistake yesterday afternoon and am wasting time today correcting it.
My August 31 deadline feels a lot closer this week than it did a week ago.

    Today is a struggle.

  • Another day, another asymmetrical neckline on my beard. 🙊

    • I get my beard trimmed, shaped and, most importantly, lined up every few weeks. Bless the barbers. I'm useless at keeping the lines straight.
