What are your favourite meme subgenres?

I love me some surreal memes and anti memes.

I liked political compass memes at a time but comments always ruin those.

Being super literal about what is shown in an extremely cartoonish comic is just peak comedy to me.

There are some very hilarious greentext out there if you can filter through the racist/sexist/misogynist ones disguised as jokes.

You can mention topics if you'd like too. Like MOTHS

A bit of a niche one: I am a big fan of the TTRPG Lancer, and a popular meme format is describing things in the game by cutting and pasting bits of the rulebook like a classic ransom letter

I miss r/okbuddyphd. It's possible to study so much it starts interfering with your ability to interact with normal people, who made more reasonable, balanced life choices, and that's what those memes spoke to.
