To my mind crossfire would also imply multiple shots. His weapon was pointed at the ground he raised it aimed and fired. I need to watch again, but I'm pretty sure he returned the weapon to pointing downward after the shot. There is nothing about that that is not deliberate.
Edit: very little of what I said was true. Whatchu it yourself and make your own judgement. Fash Gordon does look like he's itchy to fire though.

It’s the way he turns to the camera and fires at an unarmed woman reporter’s BACK that makes this so stunning. If this is my country now, then tear it down. Fuck the military, fuck the army, fuck trump, and most importantly, fuck anybody who makes excuses for them.
