Judge Allows Election Lawsuit to Proceed in Rockland County

Sworn affidavits from voters claim votes were not properly counted, while a statistical analysis cited in the complaint suggests the presidential results deviate sharply from expectations based on prior elections. In multiple districts, results showed voters backing a Democratic Senate Kirsten Gillibrand alongside a total of zero votes for Kamala Harris.

Recounts based on random samples of ballots should be standard procedure even when there's statistically no chance of it changing the outcome. This is key, to not only to reinforcing confidence in our system but to catch minor issues before they turn major. Harris should've pushed for recounts in every swing state. Biggest difference from Trump is that he was calling the 2020 election fraud before news agencies began calling it for Biden.
- I don’t know how it would make any sense for multiple candidates that voted for a Dem candidate for governor to have zero votes for Harris. That’s an insane statistical anomaly.

So what happens if this succeeds? If it comes out that Trump actually stole the election? Can he even be removed?
- The house, then the Senate will do their... Nope, we're fucked
- They'll find some low level election official to blame it on charge them with election fraud. Maybe they'll do time or maybe they'll be pardoned. It will not likely have any effect on the 2024 election results because it's unlikely that there would be enough Harris votes found to change the state and thus the national results, and this district is all the trial will be looking at.

Of note, Kirsten Gillibrand was on the ballot for a different seat. My guess is that it means something was calling the wrong database table (Senate candidates instead of presidential candidates). This could've been while casting votes, counting votes, or reporting results.
It doesn't make it any less concerning for our democracy, but it's a lot easier to explain how it happened.
- This is suspicious as hell.
  Pro V&V approved 4 separate updates on voting machine software and firmware between March 2024 and September 2024. Between them, the updates covered many, possibly most, of the voting machines in use across the U.S.
  Why would we trust a company that has let its website disintegrate publicly for over six months, to test complex electronic equipment that we rely on to determine who controls the treasury, the military and the policy of our entire nation?
