  • r/piracy is probably on borrowed time. Might as well return it to normal and wait for it to inevitably be banned. By then, Lemmy should hopefully be more polished.

  • The comments are spicy, the mods are hated there.

    • It's because the people who agree with us have already moved here.

      • Exactly. I was active in the sub for a few days after the move, inviting them to Lemmy, but found it exhausting. Though it did help those confused it seems.

I'm happy here; things will only get better when Sync for Lemmy and Memmy fully release.

  • Hell yeah, it got alot of people to Lemmy.

I'm very curious how reddit will handle it; they would probably hesitate openly supporting a piracy sub by putting in new mods

    • It would be funny af though, they might automate the whole shebang and suddenly they'd be supporting piracy.

  • I think we have to keep up the protest. Personally, I find Lemmy much better than Reddit. All that's missing is for users to follow the movement, but that's not going to happen.

  • Can someone relay the outcome of the poll? I can't see it without an account and without voting

    • 2k to stop, 1.1k to keep protesting

Let them be responsible for keeping it running. We have a good community here.

    • Last I checked, the majority that are still on Reddit are voting to give up

      • Why did they create a poll that is only accecible through new.reddit.com or the official app?? Of course it will be in favour of giving up 🤦🏻‍♂️

Voting with two comments as done previously is supported by all clients..

Edit: Statement from an official mod (old), they're internally discussing about an official second post that is also accecible through old reddit

  • They should stop protesting and let the place rot, they're already on lemmy and officially moved there now. Best thing they could do is to lock the subreddit, point to lemmy, and keep it like that till admins feels like force-reopening an (illegal!) subreddit and appoint supermods that won't do anything with it. r/piracy is dead, long live c/piracy official lemmy community.

  • Go back to somewhere regulated or stay here and shape the community in any way we want? Seems like a no brainer.
