  idk if youve read any of the papers on AI research coming out of china like i have (i translated them from mandarin to english), but they have little concern for the economics of this, the CPC's goals are to increase automation so less people output more, and have been doing so in the construction sector at a breakneck pace. china recently built the world's largest hoover-like arch dam in four years (which would usually take 12-16 years in other countries with modern standards), and plans to reduce it even more down to two years, all while cutting the number of people working on the project. theyre basically '3d printing' dams by having robotic cement trucks act as extruders and have automated sensors that determine the density of concrete to insure safety. workplace accidents are very down as well.

That has grown 20-fold, or by 2,000%, in the past 40 years and will continue to grow due to the hundreds of millions of untapped rural population despite the decline in population.
  So point is, economy is still growing. The plan has always been to create self-sustaining growth in exports to the Global South with BRI infrastructure + productivity leap at home. Both of those aspects show great success. Exports and imports to the GS are expanding and the entire SEA is brought in the sphere of Chinese digital economy. The "greater China" economy includes another billion people in SE and Central Asia.China is getting 2x to 8x productivity leaps with AI/5G apps in industry/mining/logistics.

Some parents are effectively paying their children to look after them, thereby removing them from the workforce count.

Your money will be worth more the longer you wait to spend it, so you don't spend it until you need to. No government is going to let deflation happen without something going horribly wrong, which it might be, idk.
  Edit: apparently the consumer sector experienced deflation. I believe that means it shrank, not the value of money increased over time, which is what is implied by inflation/deflation without other context. I could be wrong though. Either way, it doesn't look great.

  You know that there are plenty of people globally, including centrists and even right wingers, that do not share the same ideology as western countries on geopolitics? Are they all "left wing Maga" now? Is any country in Africa that prefers to align with China over the USA "left wing Maga"? Are the people of Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali "left wing Maga"? Are the majority of global citizens outside of the west "left wing Maga"?

  The funny thing is, the bigger these threads get over on Hexbear federated instances, the more users from instances like .ca, .ee, or .ml show up complaining about the Hexbears. That stays small in proportion to the actual discussion in the thread, but eventually becomes large in proportion to the stunted version of the thread that .world sees. So despite being defederated with us, .world threads slowly fill up with spam from users complaining about "Hexbear brigaders" as it leaks in and piles up from discussions and dunkings outside of their federation network.
