OH MY god lol this has been a wild Qualifying! Aston upsets the Tifosi at home?
- Rare big brain moment by Aston to burn a set of mediums for a Q3 visit. This C6 tire can't even last a lap it seems.
  
  Watching Stroll knock Hamilton out of qualifying did kind of break my heart a bit. Nobody deserves that 😅

Safety in modern F1 is at such a high level I genuinely think fatalities are eliminated outside of complete freak accidents. Looking at stuff like this and the Zhou Silverstone crash and the drivers coming out unscathed in both instances is absolutely unbelievable.
- At this point, it's probably more unsafe for track marshals and photographers who work up close and are always somewhat in danger of getting hit by a car or car parts
  
  Give every marshal and photographer an F1 safety cell to sit in, safety taken care of! /s
- Also Grosjean would have been dead if it happened 10 years earlier.

- If he had started his F1 career in Red Bull, he could have been a world champion. I feel so sorry for him.

Ouch that looked really bad. These drivers are so brave to get back in and drive again after an accident like that

Good that that fence held properly, seems like the photographers and spectators behind were all unharmed (though that's always hard to tell from TV images, we didnt learn about the injured photographers in Monaco last year until after the race)

Another fantastic Q3. Razor thin gaps between P1 and P2.
Russell's medium gamble seems to have paid off.
Finally a ray of hope for Aston Martin?

11th and 12th is pain. And Kimi...
- Tyre management has been Kimi's biggest weakness so far (common for rookies) and with the C6 tyre not even lasting a lap without management it's no surprise he struggled a bit here.

Haas still trying to argue that Ollie's lap should count.. imo the light was red before he crossed the line
- Fuck it, 16 people in Q2, why not.
- I think he crossed the line before the red flag. Please look at the caution panel and not the lights that indicate the end of the session.
- Nope, watch the replay. Gantry lights are session end. Marshal flag LED panel didn’t light until after he crossed the line, meaning marshals and/or race control didn’t throw the red u til after he crossed the line, and even the FIA’s own timing system agreed.
  The only explanation is that the lap was disqualified for track limits anyway (would explain the delay while the stewards review) but there should be a statement about that if that’s the case; it also should have been apparent to Haas without holding ready until green.

Can someone please delete that whole Alpine team? Maybe sell it to some Lotus guys again?

Wurz is saying that Colapinto's mistake is similar to the mistake he made in Las Vegas last year, which is not good since it suggests he didnt learn from that
