The weird thing is the Germans legitimately think that they're on the right side of history by arresting protestors, banning demonstrations, cancelling artists and supplying weapons to support a genocide.
I guess some things never change.

It’s frustrating to have to hear the German state media being unconditionally pro-Israel. And sad to try to have a reasonable conversation about this with acquaintances and co-workers. But what really triggers my cognitive dissonance is all those pro-Israel leftist-themed stickers spread everywhere.

I think of this when Europeans on other threads shit on Americans by saying "come over here if you want that free speech back". That was never a thing in Europe, and certainly isn't now in the days of Palestinian genocide. Shit on Americans all you want, but let's be accurate with those turds shall we?
