Insight: Europe cracks down after rise in 'direct action' climate protests

I don't know much about this but I'm thinking it might be more productive to crack down on actual issues such as private airplanes and the like since we're missing our goals. As far as I understand it these protestors are doing the job the government should be doing.

Edit: I'd like to add that I don't necessarily support these actions. Clearly it would be better if a government initiative would shut things down in a more careful and planned manner.
