- I have this weird fascination with the typical stew of beans and meat in westerns. They look like they taste good.

- Every time I'm eating refried beans with bolillo (bread) and some valentina sauce I think about this scene and feel like a cowboy.

As a Brit, beans and cheese on toast is probably my cheat meal. I don't go overboard though and only have it once or twice a day.

It’s interesting hearing the history of the spice trade. The English considered spices for the peasants, so that’s why their cuisine is ass.

You have not eaten beans the right way until you have eaten FABADA.
What makes FABADA so great is that it's also a hex code for a very sexy pink.
- Spain is the country where you eat good. You probably have a fav dish from somewhere else. But with the insane variety of dishes they have, and even local specialities up to 5 per city Madrid and Barcelona have specialities per neighborhood even. They surely will nail one you'll like and the serving... They'll fill a fucking plate and you will leave it clean. Tortilla de papas con Jamón iberico de bellota... You ever taste that ham you'll probably die...

I hate the Brits as much as anyone but baked beans beat refried beans any day of the week.
- I mean this is the internet so no one is stopping you from making false statements. But also refried beans are just one type of Mexican bean preparation.

  Bro, refried beans look like diarrhea and taste like ass at least 90% of the time.
  I've had some good ones occasionally but they're few and far inbetween. I don't even order combos at Mexican restaurants anymore, just gimme da tacos straight and save the frijoles for your dog.
- They do not in any way, shape or form beat borracho beans. Also, proper refried beans made with lard at a hole in the wall tex-mex joint still beat baked beans.
  
  I've never had borracho beans but I googled them and I'm intrigued. Beer and bacon are some of my favorite food groups.
