You have titled this as though nobody has ever seen it before.
- I titled it to poke at 'murica for their inaction against their dictatorial regime because it is affecting my family and my country.

  I'm sorry that my government is making a mess for you and yours. But please don't think that there is a lack of action. There have been basically nonstop (very liberal and mostly toothless) protests since before the election even, but the news refuses to report on them. Furthermore, there is a LOT going on from folks who would rather not advertise how they are resisting.
  A resistance to a fascist government cannot, by it's nature, be public facing, so you'll never know everything that people are sacrificing and doing every day. But they are. We are.
  
  Then do something about it instead of the laziest thing imaginable. Let me know when I can expect to see you in the news for your brave actions.
  
  I am Canadian. You continue to not act and I am just as fucked as you. We will mount a resistance though. Many are already economically by supporting a very prominent buy Canada campaign, cross border travel has decreased by ~40% over a year ago from Canada to the US, our government has instituted reciprocal tarrifs and laid out a plan to defend the country I am certain. There is even a rumor circulating that Canada started a world wide slow selloff of American Treasury bonds that I certainly hope is true because honestly, it would be a master stroke of genius.
  Many individuals are openly preparing for war. Taking classes, buying guns, training for first aid, joining mutual aid orgs, saving money to fly their kids out of country if they can, when it becomes necessary. Hell, yesterday we had record turnout for voting at advanced polls for our federal election. I and the rest of my country are doing our part at home thank you.
  Funny that we can see what's necessary as can the rest of the world but you are blind to it and fight against recognising it for what it is.
  I am also doing something else. I am coming to Lemmy every day. I am consistently challenging American exceptionalism and individualism like yours, in the face of personal attacks and possible doxing.

  Bernie Sanders also has Fight the Oligarchy Tour that was highly successful even in the very red states.
  The biggest problem though is that this time majority of media bent the knee, and tries to not report, and when they do, minimize the attendance.
  It seems like that unfortunately also affects international coverage.
  
  You are governed by a dictator who has unlimited power enshrined by your highest court. He will not be stopped without agression. He is not the type to step down I'm sure you know.
  My very liberal, anti gun Canadian friends are literally training at the range every week right now and just bought their first guns. They aren't the only ones.

  Got it. So you want to tell people how they should use violence while you sit around pretending to be doing something. How long do you need to sit around & prepare. Should I plan on seeing your declaration of war in the next week or so?

  When I have the opportunity to use violence against incursion by your fascist regime into my country I will. As of yet I have no reason to be violent. We're a peaceful country for the most part. You on.the other hand...
  
  What's happening in US and around the world is showing how effectively social media are used for discussion by Russia. Have you wondered that currently every Western country has at least one party that is fascist and has positive stance towards Russia?
  In US such party won and we are seeing effects on it, it will require people to stop it, but remember that there also brainwashed ones whom are fine with it.
  Don't let that happen in Canada.
  
  The camps will be fun? I really don't have much hope for Canada when it sounds to me like you idealize your own version of fascism. Maybe you should go look how America got here to see that Canada won't be far behind. You should also figure out how to take on the monarchy first. I know you won't do anything but fantasize about your own form of fascism.
  
  So, what are you doing? I'm seeing a lot of criticism and complaining, and not a lot of action from you either. Are you attending meetings of your local chapter of the SRA? Are you qualified in small arms and assault rifles? Do you engage in mutual aid and community organizing? Have you run for any local office or gone to town halls?
  
  Seriously, why do you care? I'd much rather propose a secession negotiation from the States to try to maintain peace. Guns don't do shit against missiles, tanks, military weaponry, & nukes. I get where you're coming from in terms of being armed & read if a civil war breaks out between states or even at a local level, but if the US military is willing to accept orders from a fascist we're all fucking screwed.
