      I hate greedy people -- thinking about their greed and avarice makes me want to puke at times.

    • People who are really, really, smile-ly and friendly. There's this overly-saccharine, it's almost fake, kind of person that I find kinda icky and sets off alarm bells in me.

      Kind of like a Stepford smiler but with less overt eeriness, I guess? But I'm kind of referring to that, crossed with the person equivalent of a cake smothered in sugar and fondant.

    • When someone I haven't talked to for more than a decade suddenly says "Hi" on my DMs. Feel ko it's going to be Pru-Life, Usana, or something along those lines... and most of the time I'm proven to be right.

  • Sigh 😮‍💨 namamahalan na ako sa jolibee. Konti na lang yung mga pagkain na below P100 /w drinks.

    • Parang ang tagal na since I managed to spend less than ₱100 on a Jolibee meal. But then again, I'm a "upsize fries and drinks, please" kind of person, lol!

      Kung ₱100 lang ang budget ko at kailangan kong mabusog, pupunta na lang ako sa karinderya at mag-papapalunod na lang ako sa kanin at patis. 🥲

        I'm Filipino by the accident of birth, so it's a bit illogical for me to say "nagsisisi ako na Filipino ako." Regretting is something that is only valid if you had a choice in the matter.

        Now, if I ever wished to be of a different nationality, I'd be lying if I say no. I can go on about my reasoning, but I won't bother you with that.

      • Dude, I have no problems financially. I already got paid big from my occasional work that'll last me for months (Yes, may budget plan), plus may passive income rin ako sa province (agri-business). It's just sometimes, nabobored ako, pagkatapos ng chores ko, writing drafts, reading, and everything.

        Nagsisisi ba ako naging Filipino ako? Sort of. Not because of work situation, but all the bullshitteries that majority influenced since 2016.

    • In fairness to Pinoy content, it's not just because it's Pinoy that irritates me, it's the sound effects they use on top of the irritating humor that they inevitably use.

      Di ko rin alam kung bakit naiirita ako tho. Maybe it's some kind of a Pavlovian thing where I've associated those sound effects with irritating content, or it is the sound effects pushing what might otherwise be tolerable content past the line and into irritating territory.

      • Whenever I heard them, I felt like I'm developing myself with misophonia, and this is me tuning up white noise for meditation or whenever I'm bored.

  • May maidadagdag lang ako sa sinabi kahapon ni decadentrebel tungkol kay Bong Bong of LRT(that guy is truly ahead of its time), "You pangets removed, you're very Indian" this clearly refers to Mutahar, at yung kasunod non is "enkutsada da puti" its just a rambly way of saying "kinutya niya yung maputi"(translated by Trust Me Bro Co.) which refers to PACQ, so Bong Bong of LRT prolly knows that PACQ is innocent we just can't see it yet with present evidence and legal proceedings, and to what PACQ is enmesh with currently, prolly coax our view of him and judge him subjectively.

  • Anyone here plays guitar? When should you get maintenance on your guitar's frets? I noticed that some frets have dents, but I don't really notice much chance in sounds, just a slight buzz if I press the strings too hard.

    After spending a good part of his illustrious career on foreign soil—14 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and 19 years at the Bank for International Settlements, among others—newly appointed Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli Remolona was ready to return to the Philippines and contribute what he can to nation-building.

    Remolona was so serious about his intent to give back to the country that he gave up his American citizenship with the help of Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, a colleague from their early days at the School of Economics of the University of the Philippines.

    Like many Filipino professionals based abroad, Remolona held dual citizenship. But now, he is solely a Filipino citizen.

    Some people would call him crazy to give up what they thought is the ultimate privilege card. However, it remains to see how well he would perform as the new BSP chief.

    • Dropping his US citizenship just tells a lot about his commitment. I wish him the best.

  • Na-log out yung Reddit account ko kahapon. Hanggang ngayon di ko pa rin nalo-log in kasi nakalimutan ko password at nakakatamad magreset 😁

    • Why I use KeePass. Too many accounts beyond the capacity of the mind.

        Also use Firefox Sync for my browsers.

        Setting things up for seamless interoperability with mobile and PC might be a bit of a pain, but it's really a breeze after that.

      • the concerns using 3rd party for saving your login credential is kinda risky. since a possible leak may occur at may mga service provider na nagkaroon na ng ganung sitwasyon

        for me I just use Firefox sync

        The authentication key is transmitted to the server to prove that you own the account. If TLS fails, this might cause the authentication key to be leaked, and someone who intercepts this key could use it to authenticate into your account. However, they can’t use it to access your Firefox Sync data since the encryption key is used to encrypt your data before it leaves your device. This key is never transmitted to the server, so it can’t be leaked if TLS fails.

    • Nag-log out yung Reddit dahil binura ko ang cookies, at hindi na ako nakapag-login ulit.

      • Nakaopen siya sa Brave browser, same as my lemmy's. Wala naman ako ginawa basta nalog out na lang. Pero napansin ko iba na itsura niya. Parang naupgrade yung itsura haha
