At this point, Zelenskyy is just fucking with trump, and he knows it, and trump knows he knows it, and Zelenskyy knows that trump knows it. But what other card does Zelenskyy have to play at this point?
Honestly he should just make his requests more mundane to the point of sounding like a mother lecturing her child.
Zelenskyy urges trump to wear a winter coat. It's cold out there, baby!
And that way, trump can't try to pass it off as Zelenskyy being a tyrant, or a dictator. Or any of the other bullshit he'd do.
Zelenskyy urges trump to check his fly. Ha-ha, made you look!
There's no such thing as coming to trump as a rrspectable man and be treated as a respectable man. That's not how trump works. The way trump thinks is that everybody bows down to him, and those that don't kiss the ring are doomed to face the wrath.
Whereas Zelenskyy is a respectable man, and is trying to act as such. But having a backbone clashes with trumps agenda.
It has nothing to do with hate.
Trump is a pathetic parasite without a trace of backbone. He would work with a person who shat in his McDonald's if he had something to gain from it (e.g JD Vance). Its just that he happens to be a russian asset.
No no - I mean that specifically and pointedly: orangeboi HATES Zelenskyy particularly, and personally, because he pushed back HARD last time he was in office and called him on his bullshit, which lead to one of (I’m laughing! I’m not crying! What are you talking about?) his impeachment attempts. He took it as a personal attack. Anytime someone doesn’t do what orangeboi says or wants, it’s a personal attack to him. That’s how his brain works.
Or he can reduce the number times he sucks Putin dick from three times times per week days and 8 times on weekends to just 20 times per week. That’ll teach him.
It will be a steep learning curve to realize that owning and citing from a book (let's say the art of the deal) doesn't mean that the enormous effort that previous world leaders put into brokering peace agreements was because they were stupid or lazy. Unfortunately, predictably, "bullying everyone and everything" will not work, but putting the ball so clearly in Russia's court is actually good progress.
