I love my steam controller, sad that they discontinued it
Main reason was they got sued because of the design of some parts of it for not getting proper licenses for patents.

the good news is that they made a TON of them and you can pick one up in working condition for like $50 on ebay still.
are there stickers on the touchpads? do they still work?
Probably. Same way your screen works through a screen protector.
Serves the same purpose as well since unprotected the touchpads can get damaged. I should know because on my deck they were turning a tiny bit shiny. So I put some stickers on my trackpads there to prevent them from being permanently disfigured.
yes there are and yes they do! actually that's the sole reason I decided to get textured vinyl instead of smooth, I like the touchpads being a bit textured.
Wow this looks so cool. The Steam controller is awesome and under appreciated, though I do wish it had more buttons, like the Steam Deck has.
I have the same textured skin minus the colours. Absolutely love my steam controller and use it almost every day. Got my configuration all set up for Monster Hunter Wilds on Friday!
