Humanity may not be extraordinary but rather the natural evolutionary outcome for our planet and likely others, according to a new model for how intelligent life developed on Earth.
I mean since we are, then aren't we more likely to be part of a trend than just a singular fluke? Like some people think they are special, but in reality most likely the totality of their attributes are average because that is how averages work.
Considering what humans think of as "intelligent life" I'm not so sure we are not a huge outlier. We've developed a whole system where everyone needs to work harder for a simple life than without society.
