I do not understand the appeal of Doug Ford. At least with Trump there was a TV show where he pretended to be a successful businessman.
Old conservatives being a core, reliable voter base, low voter turnout, and a sense of futility and disengagment with provincial elections. Combined with blatantly undemocratic practices to benefit himself during elections.
