Idk I'm not a billionaire and I'm pretty sure the public would reject my elimination of all borders stance even if they somehow accept my belief that all humans have rights.
Who wants to bet next year, in addition to zero tax, sweet government contracts and whatever other grifts are imaginable, Tesla will get a $500,000,000 tax refund?
Far from me to side with Tesla...I'm not. But this reads like the same type of outrage-bait that conservative media puts out: make a scary claim about an enemy out of one fact while ignoring other relevant facts.
I'm not siding with Tesla here but since there are several more forms of taxes, and many of them are deductible from income taxes, and Tesla actually had a pretty shit year compared to 2023 (way lower total profits despite slightly higher revenue), I get the feeling that there are several more parts of the story that are missing here.
Again, not saying Tesla is the good guy here. I'm just being critical of what I'm reading, because you really have to be nowadays ..especially for articles that are "on your side"
