I once saw a language selector with two Chinese flags for "Chinese (traditional)" and "Chinese (simplified)" and also, with the British and American flags, "English (traditional)" and "English (simplified)". That got a good chuckle out of me.

_stranger_ @lemmy.world English is a loan word from AngloSaxon that translates to "Stolen Noises".
6 0 ReplyEnkrod @feddit.org English doesn’t “borrow” from other languages: it follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar and valuable vocabulary.
