  • Protip: for those who use Dark Reader add-on/extension change your contrast to 115 and brightness to 85.

    • tinry ko din yan sa Firefox for my work, kaya lang bumabagal or nagha-hang habang tumatagal

      • Nakaka-bagal/hang pala yung Dark Reader?β€Œ

I've been having some random slowdowns and the occasional hang the past few days eh. Kaso di ko na masyado inusisa since wala akong mapansin na commonality other than a slowdown, tapos hang.

  • Something to think about: afaik this country only has one or two nursing homes, and they're not for everyone.

      • That's why I said only a few, because the only decent one requires, yeah, money. While the other is government-funded... elderly care in New Bilibid for life-sentence convicts.

    • Yup. Buried underneath most of the "ReTiReMeNt PlAn nG mAgUlAnG" circle jerk is the sad reality that retirement homes are not a thing here, and that it costs upwards to 1 million annually per person (looking at RainTree at least).

      • I won't be surprised some of these are either of the YOLO mentality (like they want to do everything until 40), or planning to die young because they fear what's like to be past 60.

Generally most of them would rather live the rest of their lives as overseas emigres.

  • Patumal ng patumal yung rd natin :(

    • I don't mind. Better than dealing with self-haters and those avoiding reality.

    • Tbf, mahina talaga RDs natin pag weekend, kahit nung sarado pa kabila. So, not surprised at all na career low yesterday now that the bulk of our members made a beeline back in there earlier this week.

It'll be interesting how post-June 30 plays out, though. Will more people migrate here or come back? Maybe. I'm not so sure the Lemmy mobile apps provide a better experience than the native Reddit app for them to abandon ship.

    • Like I said awhile ago, the community was just an echo chamber. Para sa mga Pinoy, walang resemblance ang Reddit API changes and most of them galing rin sa Facebook na baguhan lang sa Reddit.

      • yep what the hive mind decide is what the hive mind will follow since nag vote ang hive ng back to normal

    • Well, it's not that there's a whole lot of us here, especially after the otherside has reopened. Also, mukhang tayong mga natira dito ay di rin naman ganun ka-daldal.

However, relatively speaking madada tayo compared to the other country subreddits here.

      • I'm proud of the fact that we only have 700 subscribers but the community is in the top 5 of most comments. Yung iba nasa 2-3k members but could barely muster half of that.

  • Another new Lemmy app has joined, simply called Lemming.

    • Just installed it. I'm not a fan of the tiled cards and you can't customize anything yet, but other than that it's not too bad. May distinction for the OP, pages are displayed like you'd want it to, and it's clean.

  • I have a ton of basil and no idea what to do with it. Any suggestions that's not pesto?

  • I recently played Hill Climb Racing 2 on my smartphone and these Coin Master and TongIts Go whatever extensively popped during gameplays, and I never turned on my Google's personalized ads settings. I can assume our geo-based Internet ads are filled with gambling-themed

It's been awhile since I fully disconnected to a VPN tunnel, and I thought chocolate ads from EU and mobile plan ads and skin care products from JP and SG were shit. May mas malala pa pala... haha.

  • "I can't say my feelings for you will be the same, but one things for sure, I loved you, but you changed you want my heart back then but you want my money now"

POTANG INA MO SPEZ, ANG GANDA GANDA NG INFINITY SOBRANG SMOOTH, MAS SMOOTH PA SA JERBOA PERO ANO GINAWA MONG POTANG INA KA, I'LL MISS THIS FOR SURE, RIP INFINITY I USED THIS APP CIRCA 2020-2023

    • Pag may budget, (Purefoods) corned beef o di kaya (Reno) liver spread.

I'm more of a "kanin sa almusal" person though. So if I do eat pandesal for breakfast, I usually just eat it as it is (or slightly toasted for that extra crunch) with black coffee.
