@vd1n@OneRedFox Only by taking the means of production the problem would be lost. As long as capitalism exist, other people will become rich and they will take their place, so just killing the rich would be a short lived solution.
The crisis is in motion... There is no ending it... Removing ourselves from the equation, and stopping all the damage we do on a daily basis, wouldn't slow it down more than a few months at this point. We can affect how bad things get before our extinction, but arguing politics won't change a fucking thing.
While I would agree that we're probably not stopping climate disaster in the given timeframe due to dogshit political and economic systems (and the populations that uphold them), humans probably aren't going extinct from it; life is just going to suck major ass instead compared to if we did stop it in time. So don't just sit there and doom over it. Take action and help mitigate the impending damage, because lord knows we're gonna need it.
Politics is an incredibly huge reason for how we got here in the first place. We're probably gonna need to keep arguing over it if we want to change things, unless you're talking about a "less politics talk, more ecoterrorism action" sentiment
