The real question is if they are vector or pixel... where do they end and the border begin?
They're vector so they can grab things infinitely large.
Honestly, look at any part of us under a magnifying glass strong enough and we're just as freaky.

They did a similar thing in Ms. Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. One of the characters just had balls for hands but could pick things up. When they zoomed in it was thousands of tiny hands
