A hundred years building to that one second of complete and utter failure.

I realise this isn't really tumblr, but this entire stream just made me laugh so much I thought it deserved a wider audience.

  • Do these type of novelty account usually end up working in the end? Never having used Twitter myself, the only times I have ever seen them is times like this when they end up missing the relevant event, and screenshots of that end up on other platforms like this here.

    • I assume the owner set up a script to post "no" every day. Nothing more complex like trying to auto-read news posts to find a relevant one or something.

The owner just didn't see the news in time to stop the bot.

    • I admit this is the first one I've seen.

I might set one up for "the end of the world"

      Has the world ended today?

      No. No. No. No. No.

Because on the day the world explodes............. yeah, hold on........ I'm starting to see the flaw in this plan.

      • Go ahead and do it!

When the world really does end, it's not like anyone will be there to snarkily post "yeah but it DID so you're wrong" so you get the last laugh, posthumously.
