They changed the design in 1976 for the bicentennial to have the painting of the signing of the declaration of independence on the back and a new front as well.
It isn't worth much ($10 at most) but it's a neat little historical artifact I thought yall might find interesting. Mainly due to its remarkably well preserved condition, it feels just as crisp as brand new bank notes I get at work in my till sometimes.
Must be a lot of them then. The $2 bills were stockpiled as cash for wages after a possible nuclear war. Americans rejected them so they government supposed they would be less Choosey after an attack. So there must be an abnormal amount that are from the 20th century that are in new condition.
