[OC] Neighbor's house just went up.

Not sure how long it was going before the fire department arrived, but it was maybe ten minutes between when I heard the sirens and the fire was under control.

- Yes. I'm actually at my parents' house. The fire was three houses over. The siding on the adjacent house is all melted.

- This is a Pixelfed post and that's how those posts work. It is able to feed into Lemmy by specifying a community, where it is shared as an image link.

  For some reason this breaks the way my app (Voyager) identifies OP. It usually gives them a blue color to make it easier to spot OP in the comments, but here OP is not marked. Interesting.
- Maybe this way it's searchable on other parts of the Fediverse, like Mastodon? I have no idea actually, but maybe?
  
  @vamp@lemmy.world Yes, the OP is actually from Pixelfed, where hashtags work and are encouraged. I wish Lemmy had hashtag functionality. It could work like flair potentially.
