Awesome, that was a huge stain for me when I was still using it as my main PW manager. Been waiting for this news for a few years now haha
The last I heard about that it turned out that the inclusion of a non free dependency was a packaging mistake and has been supposedly fixed

That's misleading. Their SDK which is used to build their enterprise product is no longer open source. You can still compile the main version without it.
There was a period where you couldn't, but it was a bug that has now been fixed.
