I do wonder how much this, of all things, will affect migrations to Mastodon and alternatives. It's a very visible change compared to the more abstract changes they've been doing recently.

The hellscape of blue checks highlighted saying the worst stuff imaginable should be enough to drive people away, but brands can be powerful. Apparently it's already making a difference.
