Keen observers will notice the obvious anachronism in this photo. Of course, I'm referring to none other than the notched lapel of the general's outer jacket. Although he certainly was well known for his double breasted suits, the president could not possibly have worn a notch lapel jacket, which we're not popularized until over 100 years later in the 1880s. Truly preposterous and whimsical.
