Seen as they are adding a proper offline option, does anyone know if I can launch this straight from steam or do I need another shitty launcher with another account?
edit never mind it says requires 3rd party account, in which case even for such a price you can get fucked
- Hey I'm moving to PC, given the state of consoles, can one take to the high seas and launch those games through Steam? I already own GTA V like 3 times now and Im not buying it again.
  If so is that an alternative to third party launchers in this case?
  
  You can add non-steam games to steam if thats what you mean. Theres a launcher called hydra which does, things. Playnite is a launcher I use that I plug all my other accounts in to and launch all games thru that. There are also ways to unlock dlc and stuff but that will require a little bit of research. Havent sailed the seas for games in a while.
  TLDR; Yes you can add otherwise aquired games to steam. For the most part
  
  As the other commenter mentioned you can add games to steam as a non steam game to launch it via that. With pirated games I'm more than happy to launch from an icon though, it isn't the actual method of launching that bothers me as much as it does making different bs accounts from these shitty companies.
  Rockstar forces its own launcher if you want a legit copy but I'm guessing a pirate version will circumvent this.

Just checked it out on steam and it seems that it's micro transactions focuse. If it just was cosmetics it would have been ok, but since you can purchase vehicles it sounds like it's leaning towards "get the upper hand by paying money".
Anyone who have played the game that can tell if there's better cars to buy for real money than you can "earn" ingame?

  Honestly? It's fine. The game is worse than the crew 1 (the map is considerably smaller despite both depicting the US, and the upgrade system feels worthless), but I've never felt the need to pay to get anything, and beyond 1 pop up on login, I've never even looked or been made to look at the store. If you're after top performance in online races then probably most people in the top of the rankings paid to be there, but imo the crew 2 is simply not a good multiplayer competition game. For solo or coop, you'll outclass the bots most of the time, the challenge is against yourself.
  
  so how is the coop in this game? Racing as a team? How does it work? My friendgroup is VERY coop focused and 1€ is peanuts.

Yeah nope. I won't touch Ubisoft anymore after they removed my license from The Crew after I reported them to the french consumer protection regarding stopkillinggames
